I had my tickets and rooms all set up for Boston. This is very promising, indeed. As for my Japanese guest wish list (Titan being the theme):

-Tetsuro Araki (they DID have SAO director Tomohiko Ito last year so I can dream, right?)
-Yu Kobayashi (Sasha's seiyuu; also did Steins;Gate's Ruka and I have a script I'd like her to sign, scary art included)
-Kyoji Asano (curious as to what went into the aesthetic style that they did for the design)

Now, the real wait begins. Who will be the special guest there?

Really? I figured Connie because hes' comical so that is why I mentioned him. Thats' like the time when I wasn't sure if Yuri or Johnny should voice Eren. I'm not too sure about Armin unless a female voice actor can pull it off.

Yuri and Johnny could make for some good Erens. I could also see Vic Mignogna, Todd Haberkon, or Bryce Papenbrook doing decent jobs for Eren.

I would love JYB, but I think Funi will give the role to Micah Solusod before they give it to JYB. Micah sounds just like him, and he is my choice for Eren. Anyway, with Mike McFarland directing, I am expecting great things to come out of this dub.

I didn't recognize the name either but looking him up he's the guy who did Soul Eater's dub voice. Which, yeah, I can kinda see as Eren now that I think about it.

He also voiced Touma from Index/Railgun which surprised me since I thought that was Johnny.

All I have to say is, with Mike McFarland as the ADR Director this dub is going to kick so much ass. It's good to see they're using their top talent to produce this dub. Although I can't make it to Anime Boston, this is great news, hopefully it means the home video release isn't too far off... I can't wait to see what sort of limited edition treatment it gets. Hopefully the Psycho-pass/Kamisama Kiss limited editions mean AoT is gonna get a really sweet one.

Once I've associated a voice with a character, I find it so hard to change that so I never get to appreciate dubs because of translation time :(

I don't hate them though, maybe one day we'll catch up and get releases at the same time, it appears to be a pattern that we're getting better voice actors when it's localised

That was fast. How long has it been since Titan finished? Five months?

I guess the popularity and success of Titan really shows.

Hell AoT is already on Netflix. I have never, EVER seen an anime be put on Netflix before it even had a dub. AoT be balls out popular. If Toonami is able to get the dub, it should be a pretty sizable hit for them, too.

I can think of several good choices but really hope vic mignogna gets a role. Levi isn't one you'd think him to do but i believe he could pull it off, more likely though he'll get one of the recruits and possible a few smaller roles of people being attacked by titans.

I have faith in mcfarland's choices for actors, after all he did wolf children, case closed, summer wars, fma and sveral other awesome cast anime!

I'm fairly optimistic about the AoT dub, or atleast I know it will be interesting/enjoyable to watch the series again with some reconizable VAs. With McFarland and Tatum at the helm I feel infinitely better. Not too sure about who to cast, as much as I love the guys at Funi I'm kinda tired of hearing the same people over and over again. They are typecasted in my head already from hearing them in other roles. I would enjoy Brina Palencia as Mikasa (sounds badass to me) and Tatum as Erwin - also they are a brilliant pair when together. Other than them I would prefer some new players for the kids.

There is a lot of pressure for them to get this right, with it being such a huge series. However I have faith and personally I prefer subs, but dubs are important too ^_-
