Yes. Alice in Wonderland is more complex than OZ anyway.

I feel as if everything in Alice in the Wonderful is so awful. Like she is so alone and everything that happens is stopping her from where she is going. But Wizard of Oz, Dorothy helps others and in return receives help along the way to her destination. It is so lively, full of hope, friendships, and discovering a part of yourself that you've never known. The storyline may be alike, but Alice and Dorothy are totally different characters.

Honestly, I like both story lines and characters. I happen to like Alice in Wonderland because of the whole sort of gloomy and mind-toying plot it has. Oz in my opinion, is definitely more cheerful, but I think it sends out the wrong message. Not every stranger you met is nice. Unlike Alice, since Alice is pushed away by everything and held back by mostly everyone which I found to be better. Since afterall, she struggles throughout the movie, but ends up conquering whatever challenge in the end without much assistance. It's a realistic message to me. Sure there are people you can count on, but not a lot. You should also learn how to be dependent.

True. I also find Alice in Wonderland overrated because it's almost everywhere in anime and few other places.

Lolz

Kinda biased towards Alice in Wonderland since the book was basically my childhood...

Anyway, Wonderland is so much more wacky and artistic than OZ.

I mean, look at it!

Wizard of OZ has that whole be-a-leader-and-make-friends thing going on, but Alice in Wonderland is more my type of LCD. I use it regularly to argue with religious people.
