I would kill for Melee online. Kirby was more of a problem to me than Yoshi lol.

Haha if that happened, I could die happy :')
I was always kirby lol but I feel ya as his being able to float can be quite troublesome. But he's a great character for beginners(:
I have come to love Dr.Mario and samus though, so badass!(;

I used to love using Samus. I liked Brawl but I didn't think it was close to being as good as Melee. Just give me a baseball bat and I'm golden.

Pokemon Sapphire.
I've restarted that game so many times, played through almost every time I restarted...I can still remember the majority of what happened, the way the routes were set up, what pokemon showed up where. I can't remember the contents of any other pokemon game even half as well even though I've played through all the generations after that.
;-; That game was the only game me and my brother had for years. It didn't just teach me the basics of gaming, it let me develop creatively too. I was writing fanfiction with that before I even knew what fanfiction was.

Haha that is so awesome!(: I found very few games with endless replay value, so hold on to that mother effer.
I feel the exact same way about kingdom hearts 2, I swear I could almost recite that game to you!
Its crazy though, how when I play KH2 I get hit with a nostalgia train going full speed lol and I know by the end of the game I will be bawling my eyes out, but I just can't stop playing, and then replaying it. It makes me feel like a child again, and I would give anything to experience the feeling of playing for the first time again.
I love hearing stories like yours, It restores my faith in humanity(:

I had quite a list of childhood games that I still love play, even today. Here's just a handful of them...

    Ai Senshi Nicol
    Duck Tales
Ninja Gaiden Shadow / Shadow Warriors
    Metroid II: Return of Samus
    Megaman X
    Super Metroid
Final Fantasy III (US) / VI
    Contra III: The Alien Wars
    Wolfenstein 3D
    Doom
    X-Wing / Tie Fighter / X-Wing vs Tie Fighter
    SimCity 2000
Descent: FreeSpace - The Great War

The intro to Descent: FreeSpace still send shivers down my spine...
