Tokyo Babylon by CLAMP. Really, it made my heart ache reading that one. I felt like I couldn't trust anyone for a few days after finishing it.

I think the saddest I've ever read was LIFE. Everytime you hoped her life would get better she ended up in agony again. Eventually I had to stop reading it, it was making me too depressed.. But yeah. Those feels.

Fruits Basket made me cry the most out of any manga, iirc. The very end was happy, not sad, but the entire series was one long emotional rollercoaster. In a good way, but still. Right in the feels.

Vampire Knight had me crying a lot at the end, too.

...but mainly because the second half of VK was so unbelievably horrible and disappointing that I was mourning the loss of the few days I spent reading it.

oyasumi punpun was the only manga that made me really upset for a week

i'd be sobbing in the shower thinking about it and i couldn't get excited for anything

SIGHHHH its so good though, i love it!!

I have never seen the human condition treated so bluntly, done so artistically.

I can find so much that I directly relate to, but is also put into the circumstance of "everything you've experienced personally and listened to friends admit is happening at once."

The line, chapter 65, page 12, "I'm still just a kid who needs to change his ways."

Well, I suppose we'll see whether or not I sob later.

It's a sad manga, but I'm glad Punpun cries. It makes me feel better that I can't help not crying.

Whereas something like Fist of the North Star makes me tear up constantly.

Thanks for Oyasumi Punpun,

FMA Brotherhood, Bartender, Shingeki no Kyojiin, Ruoroni Kenshin, these are all very good mangas as well. But there is something about the ongoing tragedy, Fist was so up front in having it be a post-nuke wasteland, Punpun is up front in having it be a post-development wasteland, you just root so hard for the smallest, most inconsequential victories. But you know in the end that's gonna make things worse!

My favorite chapter in Fist is when Shew hears of his son's suicide bombing and crying, refuses to admit he's mourning, only speaks of how proud he is of his son for the sacrifice. It was already a beautiful sad human act, and then the story made it ache. That is tragedy.

Ok I will agree with an earlier person that Rosario+Vampire manga was pretty close to tear jerking at times and dude should just end up with all of them.

The one that got me in tears was Kimi no Iru Machi where she left he wasn't able to be with her anymore and I liked that he got with the girl he loved first, but when it went to him dumbing her for the other girl that already left him I dropped the manga and stopped reading the series but read the final chapter.

There are a few others that got me crying but I cant remember them off the top of my head.

In all the mangas i've ever read, there have been two scenes in which i shed a tear

First:

Second:

Both from Rave Master

Keep in mind i mostly read shonen, i don't read Slice of Life mangas, i feel that the anime adaptations are better in those cases

The first scene that comes to mind is from One Piece

The second thing that comes to mind was already posted.
It's from Rave.

I can't really cry at sad manga, because I have expectations that it will be sad so I've pretty much hardened my heart for it.
