What do I show them that's family friendly? Parents are very serious about this and I don't know what anime to show them please help.

This question should be asked in the following thread:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-7173/recommend-me-an-anime-read-first-post

I had to get that in, as this thread could be closed at any moment for violating the "no personal threads" rule.

That said, I don't see how you could go wrong with this title:

I updated my reply. I didn't know if the thread might be closed right away, so I wanted to get the first bit in.

I highly recommend Kiss x Sis as a family oriented anime, it's about family bonding as brother and sisters ( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)

^Haha, you don't say...

I would recommend the anime i just finished Kobato...it's pretty heartwarming even though one of the main characters is an emo, cougar-loving jerk.

Log Horizon should be pretty good to show them. Nearly every sports series is ok for families to watch, so Ace of the Diamond and Yowamushi Pedal should be good.

Silver Spoon should be ok too. There is the occasional showing of animals pooping, but it is few and far between.

Chihayafuru is pretty family friendly, though there's some brief innuendo in season 2 about breast groping.

Phi Brain is also very family friendly, though one character is a guy who looks like a girl if that's an issue with your parents.

How about Sunday Without God? (link).

I vaguely remember a bath house scene with a few of the girls in one of the later arcs, but I don't remember it being vulgar and it'd be far enough in that your parents would've acclimated to the characters so it shouldn't be too bothersome.

It's also divided into distinct 1-3 episode arcs so you're getting consistent bite-sized stories out of it.

And we're also talking about one of the most beautiful and interesting stories of 2013 here.

If that's too iffy:

Kyousougiga (link) and Humanity Has Declined (link) would also be easy recommendations.

And what CR has of Makoto Shinkai's work, 5 Centimeters Per Second (link) and Voices of a Distant Star (link).

Durarara!! (link) might also work depending on the audience, but it's a bit eccentric.

Hell, Attack on Titan (link) could even work, it was remarkably clean of pervy anime tropes.

Attack on Titan and Sunday Without God might be a tad too violent for anime newcomers.

Bunny Drop.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/usagi-drop

About the Show
By force of circumstances, a 30-year-old single man with a full-time job suddenly starts raising a 6-year-old girl. While running each other ragged, the two of them gradually grow into a “family”. This is the long-awaited anime version of “Bunny Drop”, the extremely popular and finely crafted comic by Yumi Unita. It’s a heartwarming and entertaining work that naturally depicts child-raising experiences, but also the instantly relatable warmth and noise of being in a family.

It'll depend on the person, but we're talking about his parents not younger siblings.

Do you think anime violence would be that big of a turn-off?

they play video games but they play like Mario and stuff like that and some times when they ask what i am watching they say "that's so violent" But they will get bored with something that people just talk in. ( even though they hate violent things they watch walking dead )

It would depend on your parents' tastes in movies and other media. I would show my parents something very accessible and doesn't require a huge suspension of belief. Can't think off the top of my head for what I'd show my mom (one of those people who will never accept animation as a medium of story telling), but I can show a lot to my dad if he had the time.
