People still play C9? lol how is the community there nowadays?

I mainly play FFXIV ARR now. Honestly thanks to that game I haven't been buying game as much anymore. Too addicting X_x
Still get on GW2 once in a blue moon to see what has changed.

I really like MMO games but it´s just eats time and all that grinding or pay2win bullshit it´s endless but i did play diablo 2 LoD alot amazing game and ESO seems meh no game is really worth 60-70 D and then fee also

I play Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction before when I was a kid LOL. And compare the MMORPG during this day have a lot of differences when it comes to graphics. But for me, I prefer the game features and unique PVP just like Dragon Nest and Eclipse War Online. These games have unique features and PVP system and it doesn't require high end computer specs

What MMO'S are there that are worth it nowadays? I was really into WoW for years, but after a while it was more for my guild mates than for the "fun factor".

The only one I enjoyed playing, and yes I just barely missed the EQ craze, was Final Fantasy XI. Every other popular MMO I played was plagued with selfish idiots that did outrageous things for the attention. There was also just a bit too much trash talking, only in the early days of FFXI was there a time I experienced in MMORPGs where the players shunned the bad mannered bunch. To be honest, the community (at least on my server) really died with the third expansion.

I forgot the name of the game the EQ creators were working on that wants you to explore the world and make friends, which appeals greatly to me because instant jumping to dungeons in current WoW is immersion breaking and you can see most if not all content with the convenience of the same system, but with a failed kick starter I got further convinced... I'll briefly say flying mounts helped kill WoW for me, but that is an older beaten horse, so...

I am pretty sure there will never be a MMORPG that appeals to me ever again. Not with the kind of people an ESO would attract. I certainly was proud of the gear my group all got in FFXI, but I know of no one that cared enough to put anyone else down about it. I also knew everyone's names and we exchanged phone numbers for game-emergencies (FFXI wasn't instance based back then - if King Behemoth spawned you better take it off the map because some other group will).

When those games feel like I can't do most content by myself and it is designed to make players want to adventure I'll surely like it again. I remember the hype around most things being instance based in WoW. Everyone was so excited about it and, speaking for just myself, it really killed the genre for me when everyone was killing the same bosses at different times. Competition is a good thing. It adds pretend-worth to the fights and the drops. I've said it before, but doing a fight when 100+ people watch you hoping to fail to let them have a chance at it is the most fun I ever had in a MMORPG.

Just my random thoughts. I played every popular subscription game after EQ. Unless a company changes directions I see no reason to play a MMORPG over a lobby based action RPG because everything is instanced anyways.

I have a love/hate relationship with MMO's. It's very hard for me to get into them but the moment I find one that I slightly like i'm hooked.
Played in the ESO beta and found it interesting, hopefully it doesn't dissapoint.

Trion Worlds should hurry up and release ArcheAge. They have been taking forever to get it ready for release.

Currently I play UO, WoW, SW:ToR, GW2 and have been playing the ESO betas when I can, before that I played various MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons, text based equivalent of an MMO)

SW:TOR never bombed, Bioware didn't move fast enough, its still the second highest grossing as far as MMOs are concerned dollar wise.

I currently play SWToR and GW2 with a little Neverwinter whenever I actually remember it. Tried ESO, but found it too much like Skyrim to think aboout paying a Sub for it..

Other than that I have played oh so many damn MMO's over the years, I have been playing since I was like 5 or 6 with EQ as my first one. Since EQ I have also played:

Arsheons Call 1 & 2
Everquest 2
World of Warcrack... craft...
D&D Online
Warhammer
Dark Age of Camelot
Lord of the Rings Online
Guild Wars
Star Wars KotOR

I've played a lot more than those, but I just am too lazy right now to try to think of the others I have played.

I'm pretty sure I didn't break the ToS when I first played (age restriction), but I know I've reported and got people banned plenty of times for saying they were 12.

When I played those kind of games I always played with people way older than me. I'm at the point where it is my chance to play the other role, but I see little reason to ever want to play with children. Only looking back I remember how creepy it all was.

Next game I play shall be with a static guild. I see no hope in finding a mannered, old group, by playing some random game on some random server. There will surely be an online forum community that says, "hey that game is nice, let's all play on X - NO DRAMA PLS." Only then shall MMORPGs will be fun again (other than the issues I said about promoting exploration instead of instant jump convenience mode).

For the moment I am playing The Elder Scrolls Online since I am invited to the beta and I have to say it's an amazing game with superb graphics and story mode.
But I have to say the best MMORPG I have ever played must be World of Warcraft before Cataclysm came out.
For the rest there aren't any I like that much except for Guild Wars 2, EVE Online, Tera Rising and Planetside 2.

I only play one game on the PC, and that is WoW.
I don't need other games I have WoW.

WoW is all I need, forever and ever <3

No seriously, WoW is like the only game I play except Hatsune Miku Project Diva and the Halo series.

Path Of Exile is a pretty solid game, plus it's free! FFXIV is honestly my favorite pick, but I stopped playing it, since I eventually couldn't afford it But I've been spending alot of time on Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3.

I know that D3 is technically not an MMO, but I feel like it should just be lumped with it anyways. As a huge Diablo fan, D3 isn't as good as the first two, but as of the recent patch, I have to say it's alot better. Reaper of Souls hopefully will put D3 in a better place, and I have pretty high hopes for it. As for GW2, I honestly love the fact that the action is far more dynamic, similar to TERA, yet with more content. Endgame is a little lacking, but the leveling process is fun and exciting. As a veteran GW1 player, GW2 was a pretty decent game to precede it!
