Things That Have Made You Cry.
Posted 2/21/14 , edited 2/21/14
I'll list the first thing that comes to mind from each "field." Not necessarily the strongest - just the first thing I remember

Western films - Les Miserables (Sadness)
Anime - AnoHana (Sadness)
Anime films - Place Promised in Our Early Days (Bittersweet)
Books - La Vita Nuova (Bittersweet)
Music - Live performance of Bach's Chaconne from Partita no. 2 (Don't know.. Tears of beauty - if such a thing exists)

The last one was the most interesting - that had never happened to me before. It was just so utterly beautiful that I coudn't help myself. Maybe they were tears of happiness, but I don't really know...

Edit - or maybe it was sadness. Parts of the song are really emotive in a sad kind of way - but I think I cried at the "uplifting" part, but sadly, I don't remember

I realize that anything with some sort of love type thing makes me cry...I guess it's because it reminds me of a certain person that I met and how I messed up with her. So most of the time it's because of sadness.

So If I had to list something. It would be Love, Chunibyo, & other Delusions(yes really)

I cry about a lot of things(songs, movies, books, news, etc., I probably could shed tears on a daily basis), but as far as the last time I sobbed and couldn't catch my breath, that would be seeing and spending time with my younger brother after many years of absence from one another.

Many different shows. Both anime and foreign film.

I also enjoyed the twilight saga. It's my embarrassing guilty pleasure. One of the scenes in the last movie got me to tear up a bit.

There's this band, called Sleeping at Last. If you can get past the singer's voice, which took me a bit to get used to, the Lyrics are just so beautiful. Some excerpts:

"All the blood and all the sweat
That we invested to be loved
Follows us into our end,
Where we begin to understand

That we are made of love,
And all the beauty stemming from it.
We are made of love,
And every fracture caused by the lack of it." - Needle and Thread, Keep No Score

"When heaven meets the earth,
We will have no use for numbers
To measure who we are and what we're worth.

When Heaven meets the earth,
We will have no need for mirrors
To tell us who to be
And where we fit into this awkward point of view." -Heaven Breaks, Keep No Score

"We'll say the one thing
Everyone should hear:

You were meant for amazing things." -Umbrellas, Keep No Score

The entire songs "Naive" and "Slow & Steady" on the album Storyboards.

Check them out, if music gets to you, these will do it.

Angels Beats is the only anime ever to get to me. I didn't fullblown cry but my eyes got watery. Sad ending.

I cry for dumb reasons, other times it's understandable.
I believe the last time I teared up was when I had what I would call a minor anxiety attack. I was walking home after school in the rain and I didn't have a hood or umbrella (I didn't really mind it much because I like the rain) but I started getting soaked. I usually have to wait at my uncle's house after school to wait for my dad to pick me up. He was taking an extraordinarily long time and my jeans were absolutely soaked which was bothering me a lot. He left me waiting for half an hour which I guess was too much. And on top of that he had to run an errand at the store which took an additional 10 minutes. I started stressing about how if I didn't get home in time to take a nap, my sleep schedule would get screwed up and then I wouldn't have a set time to do homework which would throw me off in which case I wouldn't do it at all.
When we finally got home I started tearing up from frustration.
Another time, I was really craving pancakes and since my dad hadn't made them for me in forever, I asked him to on one Sunday morning. He said no and said I could just finish the leftover chicken from the night before. I put it in the microwave but then started crying.
I have also cried when watching Clannad, Anohana, Grave of the Fireflies, and Wolf Children.
