Here's the question. I love CR, if it wasn't for this site, I don't think I'd have fallen for Anime like I have. Recently I Applied for CR's Premium membership (Anime & Manga). Recently I decided to upgrade to CR's of Anime and Manga membership, simply to read the Mysterious girlfriend X Manga as I was too invested in the Anime Series to leave it where the Anime just ended. But after recently reading all the Manga, I looked into the other Manga that was available to me (I have to point out that I'm a UK member) as I actually enjoyed reading Manga and wondered why A). The Silver Nina Manga goes from Chapter 1. to Chapter 12, and than Chapter 32. onwards, without offering readers the rest of the Manga, but also, as it seems, CR seems to offer the Manga's that became popular due to Anime titles like Mysterious girlfriend X or popular Manga titles from JP without proper explanation?

Translation takes time. Mysterious Girlfriend X was one of the first series on Crunchyroll, but they only got the whole thing up a few weeks ago. Silver Nina is much newer and they're still working their way through it. Just have patience.

To be honest...I would say with the current availability it is not worth it. HOWEVER, in the near future I believe that it will be a great manga resource.

Give it time until they have a wider variet + more chapters. I say for now no, but like the person above said, in the near future go crazy with it

I would love for CR manga reader to be like the Marvel Comics app. It goes frame by frame and focuses on important lines in big frames before expanding to the full frame. It makes reading comics really dynamic and I completely adore it. With a bigger library and a reader similar to the Marvel Comics app I would upgrade. No argument.

My thought as well. It's the fact that CR tends to skip some of the chapters for titles like Silver Nina that I'm withholding from subscribing. They have a decent collection right now but not enough yet for a subscription.

The content is somewhat lacking currently; however titles are being slowly added and I expect the library to expand vastly by later this year in order to entice more people to sign up for the manga portion of Crunchyroll. I'll leave this here for anyone wanting to try it out for a couple of days: HP94DVJDKFC - Expires: March 17, 2014, FASULUENMFU - Expires: April 16, 2014.

The must be trying to allocate more time to it. It looks like a long term investment.

I am considering upgrading my subscription again but I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the scans considering the time it's taking to catch up with different series. There was moire effects on the screens in the few chapters I looked at and there's considerable aliasing in the lineart and text. Don't get me wrong it's far from the worst quality I've seen. I just thought it would be better. I don't think it's space constraints considering video must be considerably larger. Go figure.

i agree with the others, it'll take some time before CR is a "great" resource for manga. i personally don't read any of their titles (except SnK/AoT); also their quality isn't any better than some of the other groups I've seen, nor are they as fast. Hopefully in the future they'll broaden their genres.

i know it's a way to support the manga industry by paying for it on CR, but i think that if it is available in your country then you can support the mangaka by buying their volumes.

Cr manga is relatively new, so it will probably take some time before they dent out the kinks.

To start in with no prior knowledge on the series? Perhaps not...

But to keep up on series you may have been reading elsewhere? Certainly.

I used to read Mysterious Girlfriend X and Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches elsewhere, now I just read them here.

It's a relatively new service that people seem to grumble and complain about because it is not 100% perfect in every shape and form. But I don't think it is as bad as people say it is.

Don't bother. After announcing a title and getting your interest up they don't bother starting from chapter 1.

At the moment, probably not. But new manga is being added and translated all the time. It's definitely getting there. I got All-Access on a sweet Black Friday deal, so for the amount I paid, it was well worth it.
