I watched one episode of Attack on Titan and decided to subscribe to this site. I don't watch a lot of anime, but I've decided to give it a shot. My question is, Does me subscribing help the publishers/developers of shows? Thank you, all!

I assume so as when you subscribe it says something along the lines of "Thank you for being one of the few people to pay & support anime"

Absolutely! CR spends nearly all of its income on show licenses, which either directly goes to the shows you already love, or helps those studios make more. It's even proportioned so that the money from your membership (or ad dollars for free members) goes mostly to the shows you view, since those are what you like (and more would hopefully be better. )

Yes, guilt free streaming lives here. Even a free member is supporting the industry because those ads are part of the revenue stream.

Welcome to the anime world, where anime will slowly be taking over your brain until it's all you ever think and talk about.

Subscribing to Crunchyroll is a great leap of help. Crunchyroll tries it's hardest to get the anime everybody wants to see. Lucky for you Crunchyroll has a very large library of great anime! And since you are a newcomer there are many different types of animes so don't think all are the same! I'll give a few examples and you can check out these animes and see if you can find genres you like ^^

Horror/Bloody:

Another
Mirai Nikki
Death Note
Elfen Lied
Blood+

Magical girl/Cute:

Tokyo Mew Mew
Lucky Star
Sailor Moon

Life/Morals/Everyday Life/Slice of Life:

Clannad
Anohana
Toradora
Kimi ni Todoke

Comedy (I think about every anime has a lot of comedy or is that just me?, well this genre I will put animes that I find funny but can fit in horror or action or slice of life, ect):

Soul Eater
Kill La Kill
The Pet Girl Of Saukrasou
Shugo Chara
Karin
Rosario + Vampire

These are just a few animes out of so many! There's a ton more of genres of anime but these I got from the top of my head
Hopefully you check these out, they're so good ^^

That's a good anime to start with! Mine was Death Note.

And yes, even if you're a free member going through the ads when watching shows help in some way.
