I'm giving Ubuntu a test trial on my computer for right now. Just need make a separate partition for it so I don't completely remove XP. I'm too used to Windows to give it up so soon. I've played around with Linux on my iPod and used Slax for a bit. So far it's pretty good. No complaints from me so far.

Windows Vista is not really XP with a new skin. I admit it feels like XP because the core features and functions are there. But Vista( at least ultimate edition ) has loads of new options and features. And despite what you've heard, Vista is actually a lot more stable than XP. It handles crashes a lot better, meaning no more freezes or crashes when programs, especially big ones, stop responding. It immeditaly rights itself, I dunno how it dose it. But these "stop responding" bugs are there because Vista is pretty new. Let's wait for SP1 to judge. But so far Vista is cool.

Hmmm...
When I looked at the requirements for Windows Vista I was
If I wanted to get vista I'd have to get another computer and from what everyone else is saying it really is just eye candy, it just looks 'cool' with the moving desktop and all?
Well, I reaaally want to try Linux but I'm kind of worried to try something totally different. What if I end up doing something wrong? and what about the program compatibility issue? Does that mean I won't be able to install the usual programs?? How do you work around that?

^ That's why I'm making a separate partition for Ubuntu so I can have dual OSes on my computer to test out the compatibility and user friendliness.

I know if you're tech savvy enough you'll be able to get certain programs to work for linux, but there's also a way to make a Windows clone on a Linux platform, but I'm not too good with the technical stuff.

But I'm NO good at technical stuff, Linux will probably suck for me right?
Freeing a few gigabytes sounded good to me...
Hmmm... and making a separate partition for Ubuntu? I get it, but then I don't get it...

I did but it might not've been. I've switched over to Linux so I guess I can't use it.
