Kingdom

One day I was just looking for something random to watch, saw this but was gonna hit it and quit it because I thought the animation-style wasn't my jam.. Stuck with it, and this anime is now on my top 5 ongoing series. Such a good "Started from the bottom now we here" type of story. I honestly wish it was on its third-fourth season, because i caught up waaaaaaaaaaaay too quickly.

Angel Beats
The story was just too weird, at first.. Then I watched it and it took reign as my all time favorite anime. It had such an amazing effect on me that I literally signed on as an organ donor in my state because of said anime. Overall I'm in love. I plan to rewatch it soon.

Yuyushiki. Yuyushiki I picked up because I was bored and did not expect to like at all and it was so cute and funny.

If you like Yuyushiki, then I recommend Yuruyuri. In my opinion Yuyushiki is sort of like a watered down version of Yuruyuri. Yuruyuri is more insane.

I thought this was going to be yet another horrible harem (or in this case, reverse harem), filled with a useless, annoying girl and seriously lascivious, controlling men but...........

aaaah i REALLY liked this anime, especially the first season. I got a little confused with the politics in the second part, but that alone made it stand out among its genre. i liked it so much that i looked for translations of its original source material, a series of light novels. Unfortunately the ending was...

Madoka Magica.

I'm a guy and when I heard it was a magical girls anime I thought it was going to be silly and stupid. Oh how wrong I was. Now's it easily one of my favorite anime of all time.

I'm not sure exactly what expectations I had going into Casshern Sins, but it thoroughly disemboweled them.

Welcome to the top of my favorites list Casshern. Get comfortable.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's.

After grudgingly torturing myself by watching all the way through the first season, I was rather certain that the second season of Nanoha would be worse. The director of season one of Lyrical Nanoha (whom directed Tsukuyomi Moon Phase that year & would later direct Madoka) went on to work on other anime while a director that I was unfamiliar with took his place to direct A's.

I read the description and thought it sounded downright silly.. but I jumped on it anyway (I can't get enough Magical Girl shows and Geneon was shutting down their licensing business with nobody to pick up the license for Nanoha.)

The second season of Lyrical Nanoha was surprisingly good and had me hooked from the first episode. The action was better, the story was told better, Nanoha's hair didn't bother me as much, and most of the episodes ended in climactic scenes. The magic, weapons, techonology, story, world, and action scenes are developed in an old-school way that really isn't seen anymore. Combining old-school action with 3D lighting effects was really neat. I enjoyed the season and rank it up there with Cardcaptor Sakura and Slayers.

(Sadly, StrikerS wasn't as good =/.)
