Have you ever dropped a show so you could marathon it after it finished?

Basically the title. lol. I'm so into Golden Time right now, but I feel like my memory fades too quickly to connect the latest episode with the one before it.

Have you ever just thought: "Man, this is too good to not take it in, in one night!"? Some anime can do that, don't you think?

Most of 'em, actually. I don't watch simulcasts, I wait for an entire series to be available before watching any of it!

Nope, if I wait till it's over, I usually forget about it, drop it and move on, lol.

I've got a weird set of rules. First I wait until the show has fully aired. Then I'll watch the first few episodes. If those are good I'll go watch the last episode. If I like it it gets put on a 'waiting' list and I check up on that series time to time to see if it's been licensed for home video release in the US. If the show does not get licensed in that period, usually about a year, I watch the whole series over again. If it gets picked up in the distant future I buy it.

I hate waiting a week for 22 minutes of story. (I do the same thing with manga too. I wont buy a series until It's fully released and complete. Bleach and Berserk being the exceptions because they will never end ~_~). There is not a single series I can recall ever watching week by week during it's television run.

I do this a lot actually. With FMA: Brotherhood I started watching on TV but then waited until I had all the Blu-rays before finishing. For SAO I waited until it finished airing and the hype died down to marathon over a couple days; very good call as it would have been brutal to wait between some episodes in a weekly simulcast viewing format. Same with AoT, I watched it all in marathon form after it finished airing; another great call because this one had so many cliffhangers.

I pretty much always just wait it out. I don't have the attention span for drawn out stories. I've dropped multiple shows I really like because I forget to watch one week then don't catch up. Then I end up rewatching the entire season at a later date anyway. There are multiple animes in season right now I'd like to check out, but I'll wait another month or two and binge the full seasons. But there's always a good chance I'll end up getting caught between cours and crying myself to sleep.

I did start up Sakura Trick this season, but since that's fairly episodic it's actually easier for me to get around to watching each week. (For whatever reason.)

All the time! I do this with many shows. I absolutely love to marathon shows after they are over or at least, the season is over.

^ Same. But with attack on Titan and not the SAO for obvious reasons. And Brotherhood was on Adult Swim so I used that for that anime

I also did that with Free Iwatobi Swim Team, and Kuruko's Basketball season 1. Season 2 is awesome. I also did that for Silver Spoon since it got a season 2. So that's an exception for doing it weekly is that there's a second season for it. (Plus I'm not an elite subscriber so it's harder to get passes to watch the episodes new)

Most of the time I marathon through shows all at once. For a number I have watched to be caught up for and plan to marathon later. Sakura Trick, Golden Time, Log Horizon, Nisekoi

mmm I would say 50/50.Some I drop completely and some I just postpone watching them

There are shows that I follow and when the story is going nowhere or odd I would stop and then try to watch it again when the series is over its better that way...

But there are shows I cant stand watching 1 episode at a time for example Naruto, so i wait patiently for a whole month

Sometimes. I just hate waiting when they do a cliffhanger and you have to wait another week to see what happens.

I do fairly often. Steins;Gate is a pretty good example. Marathoning that anime was far more enjoyable for me rather than simulcasting it. Golden Time however is something I stare at the clock waiting for. I loooooove that anime. LOOOOOOOOOVE.

I'm on episode 19 and I really feel I should drop it for the last four episodes until it finishes, then just marathon it. Just to get the complete story fresh in my mind, you know? But... Agh.. You think it's too late? It's a great show, and I wanna experience the best way. lol.
