Have you ever dropped a show so you could marathon it after it finished?

I prefer to watch alot of weekly's rather then marathon 1 series, For some reason I cant seem to watch a full series in 1 hit anymore.

I usually don't watch ongoing shows just so I can marathon them...

I'm currently waiting for Kill la Kill to finish up so I can start watching it ^.^

No.

I wait for new episodes to come out every week. Except for Space Bros. I'll never catch up with that show (still 20 episodes behind).

Not very often no... but I will on some. For the most part I have enough free time I can watch things when they come out weekly. Heck even enough time that if I watch a new episode and don't remember what happened before, I can go watch what happened before as well.

But there are some shows I will watch 2-3 episodes of and then say to myself, well i'd rather just watch it all in one go. Which I am doing with I think like 4 shows this season so far, not including FUNi titles which bumps it too like... 9.

My preference is watching weekly, mostly cause if I waited for it all to be done then marathon, i'd run out of stuff to watch after about 2 or 3 weeks and would have to wait until the next season for another 2-3 weeks worth of shows.

Pretty much doing it with Golden Time this season. I have been up and down on it and it may be due to watching a episode a week. So, I stopped it around episode 14ish. Plan to marathon the last ten or whichever left when it is finished and I see some peoples view on it on the forums.

I have done this for a few shows. Attack on Titan was dropped so that I could marathon the first half at the end of a crowded spring season before switching it over to weekly in the summer. I am also doing this for Nagi no Asukara this show is just failing to hold my attention watching it weekly, but it becomes something great as I am hearing at the end.

I prefer to do that, actually. It's great for finding out which episodes are fillers, so I can skip them if I want.

All the hevily censored ecchi ones. I'd watch 'em stright through if they didn't have any nudity, and I"d watch them stright through if they were uncensored, but if there's both I"ll wait until there's another version available.

I almost always wait until the season is over (or soon to be over) before watching an anime. This way I know I can watch it at whatever pace I wish and don't have to worry if the plot is slow.

The only exceptions to this are second seasons of anime that I sincerely do not wish to wait for. This season it's Saki: Zenkoku-hen, before it was Railgun S, etc.

I used to watch SHAFT's anime ASAP, but Bakemonogatari killed that. Now I approach their shows the same reluctance that I would approach a possibly-infested house. Research into it first, then keep an eye out to make sure their are no signs of insects and rodents..

Im actually doing this with golden time right now, plus quite a few more.

I'm on episode 19 and I really feel I should drop it for the last four episodes until it finishes, then just marathon it. Just to get the complete story fresh in my mind, you know? But... Agh.. You think it's too late? It's a great show, and I wanna experience the best way. lol.

I dont know if id drop THAT late in the series, maby rewatch afterwards or something. I dropped at like episode 5 so ima just marathon the whole thing once its done

When I decide to do this, I try to make the decision at 1 or 2 episodes in, or I feel I'm wasting time. I know I'll watch those episodes twice, after all.

I usually try to determine what I'll marathon when it comes out, but sometimes you watch a show and realize that there's a really good chance that it's best if watched back to back without any waiting.

I just did this with Nobunagun, partially because I just started Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and partially because it's starting to get kind of boring and predictable. Also I'm not exactly fond of the multi racial reverse/bi harem thing going on.
