Have you ever dropped a show so you could marathon it after it finished?

Somehow I think I'm doing that with the shows I have and I'm waiting until they end or something like that.

I don't drop shows so that I can marathon them, but I do wait to start watching them so I can marathon them.

For several seasons now, that has been my modus operandi. The only series I am currently watching week-to-week is Seitokai Yakuindomo* (since it would benefit little from marathoning).

Very busy with work & school so I am currently only keeping up with Kill La Kill & Golden time. I dropped Super Sonico after episode 3 but i do intend to catch up once spring break comes around :)

I'm actually doing this for Kill la Kill and Golden Time, specifically, too. lol. I'm on ep 19 on both of them, though. You think it's ever too late to drop and marathon after they're done?

Never intentionally, helps get back into them. did this for bleach & naruto, simply cos it's too annoying to wait for every single ep with filler that is retconned in a second!

Usually do this with main tv shows like american horror story, 24, doing it with shield.

Depends on the shows' time slot or if i've missed a fair few eps or all. It gets hard fitting them all in between rest of day to day stuff & trips/work.

Most of 'em, actually. I don't watch simulcasts, I wait for an entire series to be available before watching any of it!

THIS IS THE SMARTEST THING TO DO...I've caught up with most animes and i'm left kicking a wall right now

I decided to do that when I started watching Bleach back in 2007. After 2 years of waiting I decide to never do it again when it comes to anime. I just skip the fillers and keep it moving.

Now shows like True Blood and Heroes can easily make me look toward Hermitism. It just feels so right.

I do this constantly. But, mainly because I hate cliff hangers. I've got a bunch of anime I'm hanging back on right now until they finish.

Not deliberately but yes I have marathoned a show that I previously dropped.

I wouldn't say so. The closest thing is that I never really watched FMA: Brotherhood until I was randomly motivated to marathon the entire thing on nexflix over the last week. I've seen bits and pieces of it, and the entire "original" FMA before that.

If your intent is to save up the episodes and watch them all in one binge then that's not 'dropping' a show. You just prefer watching anime in larger doses at a time than following a show slowly week after week. I haven't done that while one was streaming live, but I've watched other shows on here from previous years, probably five or six episodes in a row is all I can handle.

Hmm. I like to let a backlog of three or four episodes – that is, enough to fill a DVD – build up, and then marathon that. Anime seems to taste best for me that way, though that tends to happen unintentionally, since I try to watch my shows week by week (and, as a consequence, life gets in the way and creates a backlog anyway).
