Have you ever finished an anime series and started to search for another to keep your high going? Needed a fix and settled for Ranma 1/2? What is your worse addiction story? No judgements, we all know that there is no real cure.

Mine is digging deep into the pit and finding Speed Racer. I had not watched this since the 70's. My eyes are still burning and I can't get that theme song out of my head.

As a child, I was addicted to eating toilet paper. Now though I don't believe I'm addicted to anything probably being a cuddle monster.

I once did a marathon watching anime movies for 4 days straight until I passed out from exhaustion if that counts?

Oh man, I love finding an anime that has had a few seasons out already if I get into it I'll finish the whole series then I get a little sad cuz I finished it then start a hunt for a new one…sometimes I rewatch a series when I can't find anything new:)

Hmm done quite a few things that could count as addiction stories with Anime...

Watched all of Fairy Tail with only one like 45 minute nap. Otherwise it was back to back episodes of Fairy Tail. If I remember correctly that counts as 70 or so hours worth of Anime.

Watched all of Familiar of Zero's seasons, which I think it was 4, back to back only sleeping between 2nd and 3rd season.

As for my keeping my fix and finding a new show after finishing one... well I have only been watching for just over a year, and according to MAL I am up to like 630 titles completed.

Gintama... I learned how to make GIFs for the sake of this show

don't even get me started on the gobs of fanart and fanfiction i've inhaled and written, even went so far as to get first-ever anime merchandise

will it ever end

i have a SEVERE yaoi addiction. i came across free! which was really a gateway drug for me. i watched the whole series in 1 night. the next night i watched all of junjou romantica straight through until 7 in the morning. i just finished sekai ichi hatsukoi yesterday, so now i don't know what i'm going to watch next to feed my addiction. i was thinking loveless, but i would rather read the manga, so idk.

It only happened to me with Berserk and Major. I found Berserk at a game store and it was highly recommended by the nice guy who worked there. I bought the first DvD not knowing what I was getting into but as soon as I finished it I was back at the store to buy all the rest.

That anime brings me very good memories because I watched it with my brothers and we were so much into it that we used to prepare the room like a movie theater and have a whole day to watch the episodes (nobody would answer phones or do anything else) it was so exciting and the anime never disappointed us until the end where I didn't believe what I was watching (keep in mind that we never heard nothing about berserk so we didn't know that there was a manga or how it was going to turn out). I really had a good time watching and re-watching Berserk.

Then i found Major....don't really remember where or how but the fact that it wasn't a popular anime and that the story was simple...it got my interest and I downloaded the first 3 seasons via torrent. Oh boy....after the first episode I couldn't stop watching and all of a sudden it was 5am!!! I watched the 3 seasons in one sitting!!!! one episode after the other and I didn't want to go to bed or even to work!! every episode was exciting and entertaining that I would have watched all 6 seasons without a care of the outside world.

I watched that anime with such a passion lol it makes me sad that haven't been able to feel this way towards any other anime because just one episode of another anime bores me to death. Oh well...

During my Junior High days, watched all of Naruto in a weekend~and then started Bleach, FMA, Gundam Seed, Eureka 7, Yuyu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, Hikaru no Go etc...finished each series in about a couple days...Naruto set off my anime cravings (at least it has died a bit since then). I believe I completed almost 60 unique series in a span of a year not including the ones I dropped a couple eps to the end....

Most recent marathon was last month: Avatar the Last Air Bender and Legend of Korra...1 season per night
It was fun~It's been years since I did a marathon like that.

@kirika202
I felt the same way about Major. I couldn't stop once I started it (another marathon~ )

I used to be obsessed with Naruto I wrote a shitty story on a notebook until 6 am
I used to draw a lot as well and was pretty decent at it. Heavily used references though

Now I'm addicted to kurobasu I browse tumblr for hours every day and write multiple fics and actually improve a bit (at least I don't cringe when I read my latest story..)
I also watch episodes with Akashi in it over and over again
As for the manga, I only scan the pages quickly because the story is not in my favor rn

I read all of the One Piece manga over the course of a week or two, just to get caught back up as I hadn't been keeping up.

Anime wise, I remember marathoning Natsume Yuujinchou when I was sick for a few days. No real "addiction" or anything.

Is it true it takes like 15 episodes to get into this anime? I really want to watch it but there are SOOOO many episodes.
