Howdy folks!

So, the gaming event this time around is going to be a game where we all see how horribly we can draw! The game I have in mind is over at: http://drawsomethinggameonline.com/

The game is similar to Pictionary where you're given a word and you have to draw it out in any fashion you'd like without actually spelling the word out. Whoever has the most points at the end of the round wins!

This is a browser-based game and has very slim requirements, so most anyone should have no problem hopping into this no matter what platform you're on.

So, come on down and join us at 9 pm EST / 6 pm PST this coming Saturday! It doesn't matter how well you can or can't draw - in fact, the worst you are at drawing the more fun these games tend to be. And trust me, I'm horrid! :D

I'll set my ipod to change playlist and have my phone ring a bit before 9. Should be enough to break me away from the sewing lol. Do you guys normally chat on Skype or something while playing, or is there a sort of chatroom integrated in this particular browser-game?

This is actually only our 2nd time doing this, but last time we didn't do voice communication because there was only 3 of us in total. Hopefully as more people join the group we'll get more people involved in these gaming events and can do voice chat and such during it as I definitely agree that it makes it far more entertaining.

As far as text chat, this game does have that so we can definitely talk during the match. I don't really use skype, but rather https://axon.dolby.com which is a free voice chat client, though I can use whatever everyone else decides to use if we get to that point. I'm pretty sure I've used every VOIP client in existence throughout my journeys in gaming :P

If anyone else is open to the idea of voice chat during the event and has a preference on what to use then let me know and we can go from there. Be warned, I have an amazing microphone so I'm going to sound sexy as hell.

LOL! I barely remember my username and password on Skype, hence why I was asking because if we were going to be using that, I would have started that up and wrack my brain to log in. Nothing more annoying than wasting time trying to log in when people are patiently waiting for you. That and charge the headset, cause yeah, battery is most likely near-death.

In other words, using the in-chat on the game is perfectly fine with me at the moment.

No worries! I would definitely like to get voice chat involved at some point, though. It really helps to add to the experience and it's just a helluva lot of fun. Plus, you can get to know people better that way as text chat tends to be a bit removed.

And in my case 9/10 times: trying to type a reply and by the time you hit 'enter' the conversation has moved onto something else; or the other person needs to scroll up to find the reply. Though that tends to happen in chatrooms of 10+ people who are all typing beasts lol.

I am definitely one of those typing beasts. I type all day for work. People actually need to take a typing test during the interview process at my company :P

I would get your headset charged and perhaps reset your Skype password all the same. We never know what might happen and it never hurts to be prepared.

I used to be one as well, spent my days doing literate online-role-playing, but I've quite that hobby a few years ago.

I was thinking of doing just that in case we decide to go that route at the last minute. Great minds think a like I suppose. ^_^
