The only reason I wouldn't want Naruto to end is so it could be redone properly. What's the point all of that damn filler if none of it is canon? The show could have focused on Naruto's supporting cast much more rather than treating them like fodder and killing off fan favorites for solely shock value. I'm probably just ranting, but I'd say Kishi's favoritism towards Sasuke ruined most of the potential for the story.

You sir, are 100% correct in your assumptions. In complete agreement with you on everything about the failures of the series since Sasuke and Uchiha took over as the center of the entire universe.

I been re-watching Naruto the entire month of February to the second week of March and when I found out about Naruto ending in 2014 brings me closure. On Wikipedia, Crunchyroll only needs episode 356 "Shinobi of the Leaf" and I hope its the last episode so that I can finally put this Naruto behind me ever since I stopped watching in mid 2009.

Well, I really hope at what I think its the last episode I get to finally see who will Naruto end up with Hinata or Sakura or if he will remain single and if he will become the next Hokage that's the only thing its worth seeing.

First of all, why would a japanese animation company listen to a petition from the U.S. when most of their money comes from Japanese viewers and advertisers?

secondly, Naruto's one fatal mistake was that it was a single-issue manga, from the very beginning it had a very impressive believable world and mythology, but rather than spread the story out into different arcs, everything was linked to the story of Sasuke's retrieval, single issue manga should be made for short manga, Mangas like One Piece are successful because it doesn't dabble in one story and drags it out constantly, Naruto focused on one issue only, it bored the audiences despite it's potential, and that's why it's seen in negative light, it should have had more arcs rather than most of it being about Sasuke

Unfortunately, unlike America, Japan has an unsustainable animation standard in which it has to produce content constantly unlike American TV shows where one season comprises of 8-12 quality episodes per year (House, Breaking Bad, True Detective, House of Card, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Sopranos, etc.) rather than being forced to fill the gaps with terrible filler arcs, Naruto SHOULD have followed an American standard, released a few episodes per year, but the nature of Japan's television programming prohibits that and it's forced to push out bad shit, that's why Naruto had to force flashbacks, fillers, and other boring stuff.

I'm a Naruto fan, but...seriously...hell no.

The only way I would be cool with Naruto continuing is with another time jump. He's now 30 and close to ascending to the role of Hokage. Maybe a few seasons of his final climb and then end it with him becoming Hokage, having one last showdown as Hokage with some villain, and then ending it with him marrying Hinata. (Because screw Sakura now and forever.) Or hell, maybe he dies. That would be epic.

But this endless dragging on, and all these fillers...seriously...Naruto has more fillers than most other long running anime have episodes.

It's enough, already.

I'd rather it just ended. It might not end this year, but will almost definitely end before the end of next year, and I'm fine with that. All things must end, and I'd rather it ended on a relative high note than drag itself further than it already has. Even in English, I've been reading the series for nigh-on ten years. Isn't that enough?

I love this series with all my heart; it has always been a part of my life and I will never forget it, but all good things must come to an end.
As long as it has a good ending and nothing is ruined, I'll be glad when I read the last panel in the last chapter.

With the manga being as far as it is, the only way I can see this continuing is if
. Right now I can't see them going into another arc w/out him being the villain because HOW THE HELL ARE THEY GONNA POWER UP ANYMORE?
I would love Naruto to continue a little bit more without fillers but the only thing right now that makes sense is a time skip into the future when either Naruto/Sasuke are hokage.

Totally agreed with the last part.

But the second part isn't necessarily the case.... There's plenty of anime that split the series into seasons like Magi and dozens of others. Hell, even Fairy Tail took a year off.

Naruto should have followed that standard. Have like 25 episodes a season and avoid all the filler and crap. The series would have benefited so much more from that.

Though Studio Pierrot probably wanted to make as much money as possible off Naruto so they just wanted to make it a year around show. Still, I think they could have still made plenty of money with 25 episode seasons....

I'd rather have it end on a good note rather than get dragged on like One Piece...
