Linux was always a cute toy. Apple being the practically useless fad object brand. Windows gives versatility, albeit some instability, but much better than it used to be.

I couldn't agree with you anymore! Apple is a highly over-rated and over-priced fad object!

Steve Jobs knew his game. Make garbage that stupid people like to buy to show it off to each other just for social acceptance.

I use to have an Ipod Touch, but it broke. Ever since, I've never bought an Apple product ever. Apple is way too over-priced and over-rated.

It's so weird, I haven't found a Linux distro that I've liked as much as Elementary OS. Although Linux Lite is pretty sweet too. When I get a new laptop/PC, my current HP laptop may just get the Linux treatment.

That said, Apple was too expensive to win in the desktop/laptop market. It's why HP and others dominate. But I can't deny their almost Nintendo level dominance over the mobile market. I just wished Apple's tablets were a bit more hacker/modder friendly like their Mac computers or most of their competitors are since that would make me buy their hardware a little easier.

Aced my linux server class, Linux needs standards for services, they are all different.... But it is fun to toy with it if you are patient.

Windows server is not meant for classes, turning off 2 ad controllers running group policies - scripts - DNS + 1 Data server running DHCP - Shared Folders - DFS - Print Server + 1 Exchnage Server + 1 Remote Access Server running Routing Services - Network Policies + 1 Terminal server + 1 WSUS and WDS
IT KIND OF CREATED ISSUES WHEN I TURNED THEM ON IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.... man i hated this class...

We used vmware workstation 10, my school provides us with all the licenses.

What i started to do at the end was 'save machine state' but it still caused problems.

And what does the $299 Apple logo promise? Why would anyone pay that much extra money just for a logo?

I have a Lenovo and I love it but I love Linux and Windows. Windows is fun for my gaming rig and I use Linux on my laptop. Linux is like unsculpted clay. It's limitless in terms of OS software.

Apple-sponsorized institutes, sadly there're many, some of them even force their students to buy Apple products, I know at least 1 of these schools in EU.

They most likely have some sort of deal so they won't have to pay as much for them since my school has about 2000 students, I don't think any school would have the cash to afford that many computers for a full price.

I don't know if it's some sort of sponsorship, from what I've heard from my teachers it's some sort of licens agreement whit my citys local Apple arms. Also, it may be worth noting that I live in the EU and from my knowledge only schools whit design and programming give Apple computers to their students.
