Hallucinations
Posted 6/24/07 , edited 6/25/07
Kenshin: For me it's just seeing something clearly and being very frightened, and then as I realize I'm awake I don't remember the hallucination fading away or something, but it's not there anymore and I calm myself down. I don't hallucinate when the tv's on, because it helps me realize I'm awake.

edsamac: I've heard about that, it sounds very scary. Reminds me of when I fall asleep, and feel like I'm awake, but I can't open my eyes or move, so I try to toss my body over, but it doesn't work. I try to lift my arms up, but I can't.

about that whole "I'm paralized and can't move thing", there's an explanation for that, but i'm too stupid to really understand it all myself.

I can't recall any serious hallucinations, but who knows. Maybe i've hallucinated hundreds of times, but never realized it.

Probably you lost your body's muscle mass for not working out that much on that time. Muscle atrophies.....presumably plain laziness...chinese acupuncture..... hmmmm....... Just kidding...hahaha...

There's a hot poster of a Victoria's Secret model on top of your ceiling. Get up. hahaha. joke

^^ It's not sleep paralysis. I've researched that a lot, and my expeirences are different. It may be for edsamac, but for me I know I'm asleep and in a dream. It's like I'm dreaming, while still conscious, and I'm trying to wake up, but I can't move myself in real life because I'm dreaming.

Sleep paralysis happens when you're awake, and can see everything, but can't move, or talk.

whatsome: lol! severe case of laziness

Well I'd put my money on that or something similar...Though if you know that you're dreaming, how would you know if you can or can't move your "real" body. Could have something to do with lucid dreams.

^ But can't you control lucid dreams? Well, I heard sleep paralysis and lucid dreams are related, so maybe. I don't get much sleep, so maybe it is just another form of sleep paralysis.

^ some people can control lucid dreams, others cannot. For some it's an awareness only, for others (like me) it's a power, so we end up playing around with out dreams. If it were a lucid dream, then I'd be able to tell myself to get up, but I can't. That's because I know i'm midway between sleep and consciousness.

well the topic is sort of drifting away, but there's only so much hallucination going on without "help."

I remember ~3 lucid dreams, though there were probably more that I can't recall. In one of them I actually talked of my own free will. In another I jumped ridiculous lengths from tree to tree; it had this great "lighter than air" feeling. In the third, I climbed up a cliff, fell down, and then walked away... xD

I've hallucinated a few times. I stayed up for 6 days and didn't eat for the last 2 days of those 6 days because I was sick and I refused to eat. Most of that I spent playing video games and watching anime. On the last day I looked out the window and saw a girl with silver hair, white skin, and white eye color. I just stared at her for like a few seconds then I stoop up to go to the window but since I stayed awake for so long just sitting still watching anime and playing video games I felt light headed and then I passed out. Of course, I'm not sure whether that was a hallucination or a dream. I was watching anime for a long time so I wouldn't have been surprised if that was a dream.
