before i do anything or send off my 3ds i was just curious about a problem i am having with my 3ds. when ever i try to charge my 3ds the light doesnt show up that says its charging and i know its not charging because my 3ds is pretty much completely out of power (it turns on but as soon as the menu shows up it shuts back off) so i was just wondering if there might be anything i can try or do before I send my 3ds some where to see if it can be fixed.

alright i know it says 3ds problems but now its not just my 3ds. the same this has happened to my ps vita (same situation and problem) i have checked different outlets in my house and still they dont work. this seems pretty bizarre to me so yeeeaaaaa

Did you have any power surges during charging either one? Sounds like the batteries are probably depleted, maybe over charging them?

I'd probably go with the connector is bad/fried. might be cheaper to craiglist a new one than send it in?

Sounds like you had a power surge and fried them. Has anything else in your house had issues? Do you have a bad wiring in the house?

If all that stuff is fine and you are using a power board, throw it away. It sounds like it might be faulty. Send your consoles off to be fixed and hope they honour that warranty. they don't have to if you had a surge. Good luck.

i could see how the battaries might be depleted, i usually have them chraging even if they have been fully charged. i will deffiently look into the connectors before i can see about getting new batteries
