So kind of random, but tell me if you like long or short hair on yourself and if you prefer long or short hair on the gender that interest you.
Example:
I like short hair on myself since when it gets long it is really heavy and just lays flat and won't style.
And I prefer men with shorter hair to kind of shaggy hair.

I used to have pretty long hair and got sick of it so I just cut the majority of it off. much prefer having short hair. on the opposite gender (male) Im a sucker for longish shaggy hair, but im not at all fussed. c:

I like long hair on me (I look so fat with short hair in my opinion... I used to have a bob cut). I like short hair on guys. No reason, I just think it looks nice. And i especially love it when guys get a new hair cut and how some parts are buzzed... feels nice to touch over those areas haha.

I like medium/longish hair on myself. I like medium hair on girls, a well done pixie cut is nice.

I like my hair medium-length. Longer than most guys I see, but not long enough that it reaches my shoulders. My hair's wavy and prone to frizzing up, so it tends to point all over the place and look bad when it's on the shorter side.

On girls, I like shorter hair, or long hair put into a ponytail. I tend not to like hair that's overly styled or complicated.

I've had a buzz cut for two years, and I've had hair down past my shoulders for a few years, so obviously everywhere in between. If you haven't tried either and have been wondering, let me tell you :

Both are a complete pain in the ass.

With hair that short you need to cut it once or twice a week with a trimmer, and hair gets absolutely everywhere in your sink. Around every four days you'll go through a phase that I call "derp hair". If you sleep on your side, when you wake up half of it will be pointing straight up, and the other half straight down. You'll need to gel your hair (I use aloe vera) to get it to behave. Also, if you want a really badass spike, that's a bit longer than an inch, and there are no trimmers that go that long as far as I'm aware, so you would have to suffer through the derp hair phase repeatedly.

With long hair, or attempting to get such, you'll shag out most of the time unless you get it cleaned up about as often as you would get a haircut anyway. Then you'll go through the phase where these great hair-wings come off your ears and make you look retarded. Shortly after that, you'll have a short period of hair getting directly in your eyeballs, and after that comes a very, very long phase of it trailing down the rest of your face and constantly blocking your vision. "If only I can get it long enough so I can pull it back," you'll say to yourself. Guess what? That's a really goddamn long way off, you have no idea. Shampoo costs aside, you'll have to spend an inordinate amount of time rinsing and drying your hair. If by some miracle you make through a couple of years of this, you get to look forward to having individual hairs break and giving you a "frizzy" look all the time and probably get looked down on by old people (if you're a guy).

With this information in mind, as far as women go: the longer the hair they have, the more attractive and feminine it is to me, but I COMPLETELY understand why any girl would want short chin-length hair.

My hair is getting pretty long and I'm thinking of cutting a bit of it, not to reduce the length but just to give them a breather. I tend to keep them in braids though, so they appear shorter. I'll admit, having short is a lot less of a hassle and the headaches are less.

Some men can pull off having long hair, but I by far prefer them with shorter hair.

As a metal head there's a golden rule... One shall have long hair!

However on females it's hard to say one or the other due to the fact that some look good in long hair and some doesn't.

The hair has to suit the person's face. Many a time people choose cuts that they want, but that take away from their looks. Some are able to pull off any style, but it is not often. Overall it is a person's choice, but choosing what you like over what suits you does not help in the looks department.

I personally have had short hair and long hair throughout my life. At the moment, its just past my shoulders 'cause I'm growing it out again.

I enjoy my hair long. I've always hated having short hair, although on occasions I do cut my hair shorter just to change things up I dig medium to longer hair on girls. Short hair isn't too bad either.

Personally, I love very, very long hair on women. If a woman has hair down to her waist or even lower, I don't care if people notice me, I look. It's just absolutely gorgeous and I know it takes extraordinary amounts of work and time to keep it that long and healthy.

Myself, wish I had hair still! I shave and keep it smooth since I began losing my hair. Would prefer to have my hair back, and when I was about 19 / 20 I had long hair myself. Kept it very well and tied it when I went to work, my boss nicknamed me slick and said I looked like a gangster.
