Bleach is a less story driven manga, I would say. It is mainly driven by its artwork and its character development (and when the character development took a nosedive, that's why Bleach started loosing it's steam).

Can someone fill me in on why they stopped airing Bleach in the first place? I'd really like to know. Can't find a legitimate answer anywhere online. (make sure to quote this so I get a notification).

They caught up to where the manga was at, and it wouldn't be worth putting out more fillers, maybe that's why they stopped airing it, idk...

I shamelessly admit I looked at this thread to see if there were any animation updates.

ha, I'm still on reading Bleach and manage to enjoy it. Don't really feel those who didn't like the fullbringer arc. Even though it feels out of place, and feels more like seperate story than Bleach, the arc itself was good and interesting (or at least I don't feel like complaining about it). Besides, I'm one of those 'idiots' that liked the filler arcs
Now as it goes for those "It should've ended at Aizen arc"... well if you felt like it was the end, you should have stopped reading manga and watching Bleach after that then. But here you go still reading/watching after what you all claim to be "ending" and complaining for that. So, either you're lying to us/yourself or you're just unsatisfied with the developement. For me it seemed like the series were incomplete and I waited for further developement. And that's that, still loving it and looking forward for new chapters.
BUT. I do have to agree, that at some points after the end of Aizen arc, it gives that sketchy feeling with some edges that are not fully worked out and it looks like a most obvious shortcut was taken for some reason.

I'll just repeat my self: Still love it, still read it.

Glad it's finally ending. Right now in the manga they just repeat themselves. Fight>new power>enemy new power>another new power>victory>next character and then it continues like that.

I don't know if there's a definitive answer, but there are two possibilities.

1. It wasn't getting good enough ratings. It's produced to make money, after all.

2. The anime was too close to the manga, so they decided to stop production of the anime instead of shoving filler down our throats for months / years on end (*cough* Naruto and InuYasha *couch*).

They might animate the Thousand Year Blood War, but if they do they'll probably wait until the arc / series is finished.

I still like Bleach and will stick with it till the end. I am especially looking forward to it now since it is the last arc where they begin to reveal everyone elses abilities. I guess that's what I like most of about Bleach, Kubo knows how to slowly reveal people's abilities so he always has something to get excited about or look forward to throughout the series.

Can we just talk about how awesome it was that Kepachi made an appearance. It's been so long since his lat appearance. It's nice to see he still looks out for Yachiru-chan, and he ran out to save her.

I'm glad that old man wasn't the real antagonist, he was a joke, and he annoyed too much. I hate characters that look stupid, which is why I could't enjoy Renji's latest victory, his enemy was supposed to be a joke...

Back to the main topic, the moment Kenpachi showed up, I smiled. I can't wait to see his next battle, next week. I assume that Kenpachi's lack of imagination and childish traits may put him at an advantage against his new opponent.

one of the series in jump that is still one of the best. I even liked the fullbringer arc quite a bit even if it wasn't the most epic arc in the series

I don't care about whatever the hell arc, anime is anime, and i love bleach. Those who are picky about it aren't fans. True fans stick to the end Any episode is very precious to me as a fan.

The current bleach is honestly candy for those who have been with the series through thick and thin, not for those just now reading it. And honestly if you judge a series by simply categorizing events and when they take place, you miss the things that make a series good. Granted Bleach isn't in its' prime, but people seem to forget that it is still one of the better manga out there, both in art and in story also.
