Worst Dream Interruption

We've all had moments where we want a dream to keep on going before we get into our day, but it ends up getting yanked out from under us. My least favorite moment of this, personally, was when I had a meeting with a strange man in some sort of weird, featureless place. I forget what led up to this, but the man ended up asking me, "Do you want to know the meaning of life?" Of course, being curious, I nodded my head and said, "Yes." Well, of course, just as the guy was opening his mouth, one of the most annoying, loud alarm noises ever went off and cut him off, waking me up. Yep, the alarm clock went off, signaling it was time for me to go to school, which ended up turning the whole thing into a damn tease.

Sure, I have no idea who the hell that guy was, and I'm fairly agnostic, but even it was just apart of my imagination, I was still curious to have seen what I would've said to myself. For a while, since it was timed so perfectly, I liked to bitterly joke that maybe he was some spirit who either decided to randomly share it with me but decided against it at the last second, or he was forcibly taken out by some other guy. He hasn't even appeared a single time since in any of my other dreams, which just seems strange. Oh well, I've gotten over it, and think of it as a pretty funny event now, but at the time, it just really annoyed me (back in 7th grade or so). Anyways, this whole post is basically dedicated to those that may want to share any annoying interruptions they have to perfect or really awesome dreams that really ruin the whole thing. It's random, I know, but I'm bored and tired.

If you're talking fictional "dream interruption",then it would be the peanut sequence, (Christmassy Ted), from the "Father Ted" series.

Someone who hated my guts was about to confess to me her deepest feelings, and then my alarm went off. I know it was just a dream and most likely wouldn't ever happen, but it could've at least humored me a little.

I was plotting a way to get away with not doing my french homework with some Japanese girl. The plan was that she'd cut the lights and I would quickly do my homework before the teacher asked for it in. Unfortunatley my phone's alarm went off and we both panicked because we were going to get caught. I switched off my alarm and found I was awake on my bed breathing heavily. I got in trouble later on that day for not doing my french homework.

I'm not going into the details, but I was once woken up while in an amazing dream by a buddy of mine who was wondering if I wanted to go do something. Yes, it was one of those kind of dreams. Yes, I wanted to beat him senseless.

Hey, I'm sorry for asking, but this seems so interesting, so, what do you mean by "featureless place"?

Well, it was a sort of white-ish, pink-ish place. It didn't really have any ground or land marks, and it was basically in the middle of nowhere. Other than those colors, there was basically nothing other than that man and I. Hope that answered your question.

Ah, OK, thanks. If I were you, I'd feel pretty mad about the interruption because of how interesting it is, though we now know the answer is 42.

Though, perhaps your mind had already given you its answer. It is a very fine thing, the human mind. It may have known that the alarm clock was about to go off, so the dream was timed just right to where it would go off just before hearing the "answer" the man had for you. Whether that would mean the answer is unknown, or needing to wake up, I don't know.
