mmm I think Nana was pretty popular at one point...I think a lot knows Nana .

Anyway...There were titles that were streamed in Viz Anime, Funimation or the other that didnt get much attention .

Nurarihyon no Mago(2010) is one of them.

A lot of my anime friends hardly knew this anime. This one is actually pretty well written. The characters interesting and theres a lot of them , pretty good mix of comedy, drama and action , interesting take on the yokai world order ala yakuza and The manga is crazy...

And from from last spring 2013 alone, I would say Hataraku Mao Sama had the same plight. There were a handful cosplayers for this anime at AX and only a few knew the anime. I was happy when someone actually recognized my character.

With the high-water mark being 425.6K (Death Note) and most huge successes cap out between 185-350K.

Black Rock Shooter, surprisingly, is very close to the 100K mark as well.

Disclaimer: This list is in no way exhaustive, nor can I weight very well against age.

Hell yeah, Casshern Sins!

BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad - this is so good, but so many people I ask about it have not seen, or even heard of, this show.
Outlaw Star - my all time favorite series which provides just as much fun, adventure, drama, romance, action, and suspense today as when it came out.
Mysterious Girlfriend X - a really great romance series which promotes treating women respectfully in relationships, despite the drool.

GINTAMA, although it does very well in Japan, not so much western audience due to the many cultural references. But it really is an amazing series

Daily Lives of Highschool Boys. It's soooo funny please watch this

Mushi-shi

Hozuki No Reitetsu; eh, also another heavily Japanese culture based anime. but still

anywho, i would like people to watch sports anime more, cuz it always feels like sports anime gets a cheesed ending when they run for a random period of time.

This begins and ends with Yowamushi Pedal. It isn't just the best sports anime airing right now(that's right, I said it, come at me!), it is one of the best of the last two seasons. It deserves to have more viewers. I'm not even that big of a sports anime fan, but I am legitimately in love with this series, and it is a damn shame it doesn't have more people watching.

I've never liked a sports anime. But when I watched Kuroko's Basketball, I had the same reaction. It was the first sports anime I fell in love with.

Ichigo 100% [Manga preferably]. It was actually quite amazing.

The Pilots Love Song

And something that even surprised me, but Engaged to the Unidentified is actually 'pretty' good.

White Album 2 (lovely, non-happy romance anime and that everyone doesn't watch because they think it sucks like White Album 1, which is not the case.)

Golden Time (I'm pretty sure a lot of people like a good romance without BS cliches. This is it and nobody is watching it.)

Blast of Tempest (I enjoy it and better than some of the seasonal anime in 2012.)
