Let me know if a thread like this exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

Let's say you did something to upset your parents and instead of calling your first name they call your whole name. Did that ever happen to you? If so when was the last time did something like that happen and what did you do exactly?

Bonus Questions:

1. Are your parents intimidating or laid-back?

2. If you are a parent yourself, how do you call out to your child when she or he got in trouble?

My Turn:

My mom only shouts out "Qualeshia" instead of my first, middle, and surname all together. I always found my dad more intimidating than my mom to the point I cut ties with him. My mom isn't to bad but she is a bit frightening though. She a little more laid-back than my dad is. I was scold at by my mom for going to sleep and forgetting to wash the dishes. That happened days ago but I washed them now.

Now, your turn.

Never my last name but my mom used to call me by my first and middle name. Hasn't happened for years.

One parent is laid-back the other has a volatile temperament and swings back and forth between laid-back and and just plain unreasonable.

Nope....

My folks are, have been reasonable most of the time. The only people that ever recited my whole name were a couple of my aunts and most of the time it was their fricking kids that started any of the problems.

I don't got no kids... Although when I was over at my cousin's place and his kids acted up and caused problems I'd usually yell at them, "What the F*CK is you GAWDAMMED problem"... or other variations.

Oh yeah. My aunt also did that and so did my grandmother too.

No. If they shouted my full name, I would laugh because it would sound pretty funny.

My mom can get angry, but it's more annoying than intimidating even when she's super serious. My dad was pretty laid back.

It's terrifying to hear your parents call out all three of your names, each in full. It's as if you've made them so angry, they decided to input the necessary code to initiate your self-destruct sequence.

Just today in fact.

Me and my parents just moved to what will likely be their retirement home.

(And clearly being 24 and living them is strange enough)

But I've been very lazy in unpacking my room, and my mom got a bit pissed about it.

But overall my parents are laid back, my mom and me shared sushi and wine later - my boxes are still not unpacked, So no long term fighting.

I do plan on unpacking tomorrow....just was distracted by Magi today.

Sure. "Mitchell Lorenzo Whitcomb" kinda rolls of the tongue.

My parents are both laid-back and intimidating. Terrible combination, let me tell you.

If your full name is your username, your parents likely refrain from using it our of fear that they'll accidentally use a move from Dragon Ball Z.

Damn right. I am a parent and I never put my stepdaughter through anything that I would not do and I never, ever lied to her.

I'm a more boring ethnic group, my parents were mild.

(Then again it's probably why I've turned into a more lazy adult.)

Video games and anime could also be a cause?
