I have no idea, Usopp failed in the lastest chapter..., but where still in Dressrosa but near the climax,
I'm hoping Kaidou makes an appearance soon after this arc, theres alot of Yonkou action going on.

I think I'll watch the anime first, then read the manga then from the start. Cause as Juandismo said, Im also completeionist. lol

Well it doesn't really matter, One Piece is a series that will make you want to reread and watch over and over, now its on Crunchyroll!! which makes this process alot easier, rather than resorting to illegal sites or Hulu ads lol, so yea if ur a first time viewer go with the anime, but once your a fan in the end it doens't matter, but to point out the pacing of the anime gets bad once part 2 begins because the animators didnt want to catch up with the manga, so in part 2 the manga is alot better but the anime is good, for instance Dressrosa is pretty cool in the anime so far, but I'm mainly on the manga daily now. Although I am pumped to rewatch Part 1 on here again!

Thanks for your thought. It's jsut Im not one to stop an anime once I watch. So even if its slows down in part 2, Ill still watch.

And I plan to do both, so I won't miss out.

Yea its cool to do both, I'll just say you'll notice the dramatic dragging in part 2 especially with 1 chapter per episode, as you read the manga with the anime, but there both enjoyable still, manga especially when the artwork skyrockets in the later portion.

Despite this problem and the fillers, the anime is enjoyable you'll say?

Depending on the source material, things can be different.

I don't read the Manga, as I suspect a different experience. A lot of the fun in One Piece to me is the art style, and what it does to animation. Because of the absurd style, it's not as easy to "bull shit" as Naruto tends to be guilty of. Filler Arc's in One Piece are far far worse, and the stories themselves hold a lot of impact.

Some of the more annoying Arc's for the anime probably translate really well to Manga. Specifically Sky Island, and Marineford.

While the CP9-episodes, and a few of the more emotional scenes early on, should really be seen rather than read.

If the Anime wasn't enjoyable, it wouldn't have 600+ Episodes.

aaanad I'd probably tell you to stay clear of the Manga as well.

You already know what you're going to do by now I hope, but make sure you've got the ability to watch these unhindered! I caught up on One Piece through Hulu+, They had about 340'ish Episodes going forward, and skipped to about 400 and moves up to current episodes. If I didn't have such seemless watching, I wouldn't have watched it at all.

Random question, does anyone know the day Crunchyroll is putting up backlog each week?

I am mostly reading the manga. I do watch the anime here and there though. There are some scenes that you have to see animated because they are a lot more epic. I agree with what Felstalker said, CP-9 episodes you want to watch instead of read most definitely. So far in the new world, I liked Zoro vs Monet better in the manga than I did animated. Same as the epic Trafalgar Law slash, Enjoyed it so much in the manga.

All in all, I do both, but select episodes for the animation.
