Haven't seen the anime yet, but stumbled upon this song while playing a little Osu! unfortunately haven't heard many good things about the anime either, however the OP is absolutely amazing <3 think I might just watch because of it hahaha

I got into a shitload of animus because their openings caught my interest so you're not along here hehe

You really liked Mirai Nikki's second opening? I mean the first was brilliant no doubt.

You should of put Magi opening 4 instead of 1, it's more hype but that's just my opinion..

As soon as I saw the first two (and the One Piece one) I was like ''sooooo fucking truuuuue!!!''

But it's not something I would post here since those were all awesome popular mainstream anime and we all know how the forum-dwellers here just ''love'' anything that's even a little popular...

One Piece is great and I know many people who love it, even if they dislike other shonen anime like Naruto or Bleach. The One Piece anime has been lagging as of recently, not because of the source material (the manga's still great) but because Toei has stopped putting effort (and money) into it since it basically sells itself at this point. But back when DAT OP was ongoing it was still pretty great.
As for the other two... I kinda liked Magi, and the OP was nice, though I'm not a die-hard fan. And anyone who denies that Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is one of the best things to happen to anime in the recent years is basically trolling. FMA: B had a great plot, excellent production values, likeable characters. It was shonen done right, through and through (like HunterXHunter, even more so the 2011 remake, after all).

I don't think people dislikes stuff that is popular. It's just that some very popular stuff ends up being the first anime someone sees, prompting them into go "OMG IT'S THE BEST THING EVAAAAHH" which in turn makes it more popular, wash, rinse, repeat. That's what makes stuff like SAO so annoying, for example. It's not that terrible, but it's at best average, yet it gets uber-praised for these kind of reasons, which prompt a strong hate to counter-balance (in my case though the main reason why I am very bitter towards SAO is that I liked the premise a lot and thus was disappointed by the way it was poorly executed, and that's independent of its popularity - the popularity only means it's easier for a fight over it to break rather than for something which pretty much everyone seems to agree it's awful).

Anyhow, speaking of openings... no love for Jojo's BA OP 2? If manly men striking poses while someone shouts "LIKE A BLOODY STORM!" in the background don't get you hyped, nothing will.

Openings that got me revved up... Not including AoT, since that was designed awesome... Anyway, my opinion is the opening shouldn't be cutscenes for the best parts of the show, but instead help get you in the mindset of the characters and the story as a whole.

Initial D Stage 4, opening 1

Not really any good one posted on youtube that isn't cut up. so bear the border for that.
Z/X Ignition

Next favorite is a bit of a retro trip from the early 90s
Tekkaman Blade OP2

There has been talk about the other intro's for this show, but I like this one the best because at 0:48 , it really sets the mood for the story.
Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood OP1

And to finish off my few without overloading the list, my favorite intro. If this doesn't get you into the show, then you don't like anime at all.

i skip most openings, but i gotta say both of AoT's made me feel like i could go defeat Titans myself. or tackle organizing my crap. whichever

Tonari no Seki-kun gets me VERY hyped... just what is Seki-kun gonna do in class this time??

ah.. and Gintama's 6th season opening, SPYAIR in general is awesome, but that season had my favorite arc and i just get so dang excited when it plays.
