I noticed that the vast majority of users come to crunchyroll for the Anime section, but not for the drama and pop titles The elimination of both the Drama and Pop tiles would allow for a more better focus on obtaining more anime titles and also allow more focus on obtaining more manga titles too, and the more titles you have for the anime and manga sections the more subscriptions you will get, thus meaning more profit and audience for the website.

Why am I only bringing this up now? Well, I been busy with college for the past couple of years.

Oh... must have been my imagination.

Anyway, variety is good so no point limiting cr to anime and manga. If they are already not as popular then I don't see how they can be in the way of the main focus of cr.

I've seen people with drama-only accounts. Not many, but I bet they wouldn't be very happy. ^_^''

I disagree.

As an Anime member, I don't see the Drama side of the site affecting me in any significant way, nor in any way restraining the number of anime titles obtained each season.

Drama and Pop are their own thing. They are in no way affecting the amount of anime (or manga now that CR has it) we consumers get access to.

How do you guys know that for sure? Are you guys just speculating? Did CR make some sort official statement on the matter of content acquisition?

Customers and money would be lost if that were to be done.

Keep in mind what I stated:

As an Anime member, I don't see the Drama side of the site affecting me in any significant way, nor in any way restraining the number of anime titles obtained each season.

It was a statement of my observation, not a claim of fact.

In contrast, what evidence is there that CR having drama has negatively impacted the number of anime titles they have? That is sheer speculation.

It certainly doesn't seem to have impacted their ability to obtain simulcasts, as except for the series licensed by Funimation (and they had a couple of inroads there), they licensed almost everything that was practical to license last season.

It also isn't as if there is any evidence that they are losing money on drama rather than making a profit, and the latter would actually give them more funds for titles.

I just think it's sort of obvious, otherwise they would have removed pop/drama a long time ago if it was impacting their numbers..yeah? I did say that like it was a fact, so I do apologize for the confusion. But I'm sure CR isn't stupid enough to keep something on here that is holding them back. Those are just my two cents.
