I understand that the app hasn't been updated in about a year or so. I have had my ps3 for already a year, but now for a few months I have a lot of times where I get problems. It doesn't crash anymore but it now freezes my ps3 very often or takes me to the home menu when trying to view an old anime or a recent anime episode. What really bugs me other then the freezing is the horrible synchronizing. I can't get to where I paused an anime on another device, or if I accidentally close an episode, I'm still starting over. Can anyone think of solutions or give me any feedback on those two issues?

ATM while I normally would i cannot find the model of my ps3 now that I need it =_=
I know it's one of the ones that do not accept ps2 content. Sorry.

Of course your not the only one, over half of the subscribers are going through this bs, crunchyroll is going to have to buckle down and get their service together, they are going to lose a lot of money due to subscription cancels.

I'm curious if you've derived "over half the subscribers" from some credible source, or you are just pulling a percentage out of air.

it doesnt have to be credible but without crunchyroll tech doing anything then it will sure as hell eventually become a reality

Sir I came to that to that conclusion based off of my friends that I know off the site, and the the people that are on the site that are in the forums. Lets face it there are more people complaining about the ps3/ps4 app, than there is people saying something like "Great APP".
Tomorrow, I'm getting my internet upgraded to a way higher speed, and if that doesn't do the trick, then im dropping the service its as simple as that, and I'll go back to torrenting.

I have been a premium subscriber for well over a year, and it's never really improved... I've just gotten used to the fact that the app will crash once every three videos, and that once every few weeks the site is going to be down. I will say, however, this is the worst it's been for quite some time. If things don't improve soon, I may end up canceling my premium membership.

Even if only 1 out of 1000 people having problems have posted in the CR forums, it still isn't "over half" of CR's subscribers.

If you had ever worked in customer service before, you should know that people are far more likely to speak up to complain than compliment.

There is also the matter that it is highly doubtful even half the subscribers to CR using the PS3/PS4 for access, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you were referring to streaming problems in general, not just problems with the PS3/PS4 app.

Now, if you were saying over half the people using the PS3/PS4 app were experiencing problems, that I wouldn't argue with, as it simply seems to be buggy.

I'm talking about streaming problems in general on the site, and the problems the consoles are facing I wish crunchyroll would post an official poll somewhere saying something like "Is the streaming bad for you?" Then my last comment will mostly apply guaranteed.

Assuming they forced each subscriber to answer before they could proceed, I am quite confident it would prove you wrong.

As I stated, people are far less likely to speak up if they have no complaints or at least none they consider significant. How many people do you see visit the customer service desk in a local retailer, grocery store, etc. to say, "Just wanted to say you guys are doing a great job", much less, "There's always room for improvement, but overall I'm satisfied"?

At the end of this month, it will be one year since CR announced they had over 200,000 subscribers. Go through and find every unique user that posted they are having streaming problems and multiply that by 1000 (i.e., assume only 0.1% of users complain), and you still won't approach 100,000, much less exceed it.

I've only been using it for about a week and I've had to restart CR several times and it has frozen my PS3 at least 3-4 times. However, if you quit and restart CR after 3-4 episodes it seems to work just fine. Annoying, but still manageable.

If the poll situation happen, I got a feeling people will speak up rather they are premium or not. Just look at whats been going on lately even if they don't speak up the percentage of people having streaming problems increases just about everyday, lol crunchyroll has some explaining to do man.

I've been using it since August of 2012 (as an "All-Access" Premium member), and I consistently experience the following issues:

    * App crashes when scrolling through your queue, or scrolling "too fast" through a list.
    * App crashes after watching more than 2-4 episodes in a row. I currently work around this issue by stopping and starting the application every two episodes.
    * Occasionally, in the middle of an episode, the app will think that the episode has ended and will skip me ahead to the next episode.
    * Shows frequently disappear from my queue. Sometimes this is because CR has removed the show, but more often than not it's due to some technical issue. This is one of the only technical issues CR has actually been able to resolve, when it happens.
    * If I let the application roll from one episode to the next (without returning to the main menu and manually selecting the episode to play), the app will sometimes crash. Other times it will not crash, but the next episode will suffer from severe frame rate issues.
    * If CR itself is down (as it was on Tuesday), the application will hang the entire system with a grey screen, forcing me to re-boot the entire PS3.
    * In all of the instances above, when the application crashes it will do so in one of two ways: Either it returns me to the main menu (preferred, if the application has to crash), or freeze the entire system with a grey screen (in which case I have to do a forced shutdown).

In all this time, over a year and a half, there have been no updates to the application. Clearly nobody is working on it. Every time I raise the issues, the response I get is "Well, it must be your problem somehow". However, I have multiple streaming apps from multiple providers on my PS3 (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, YouTube), and CR is the *only* service that has these issues. Crunchyroll has great content, shows I can't see anywhere else, and that's why I stick around... But the technology side of their house is a shambles. They have some serious work to do if they want to hand with the "big boys", and despite their subscriber base (touted above), I just don't see them doing anything to get there.

I experience all that too, I gave up watching it on my ps3 and just use my iPad now cause of it...sucks I can't use my 60 inch hd tv for anime vs my 8-10 inch screen on my iPad....the errors and issues are just to annoying. My ps3 crashing every 5-40 mins having leggy sluggish video the more videos I watch. And we got this twit ancient one trying to say we're just exaggerating....what a joke.
