Magi Season 2 follows the manga pretty much word for word.

I haven't read the manga but Hellsing Unlimited or Ultimate or whatever was a really good anime.

I actually think I am liking the Berserk movies better than the manga. The new ones.

Haven't read their respective mangas, but I really liked the animes of Black Lagoon and Jormungand.

Grenadier (although the story in the manga is completely different) and the Guyver come to mind.

The Flowers of Evil

The anime was beautiful and they adapted it perfectly.... Hoping they give it another season and adapt more of the volumes

I would say my favorite are Bakuman and FMAB. FMAB is just... good. No matter what perspective you observe it with.

YuYu Hakusho is actually a better anime than manga if only because the anime ending is miles above the manga's. I felt the manga kinda just cut off and ended with Kurama filling me in on the aftermath. The anime greatly expanded upon the ending, putting a lot more fight scenes and we actually got to see Keiko and Yuskue meet back up (which is another thing that Kurama had to explain to the reader rather than show it).

Trigun actually is a really good adaption; the changes made sense and the overall themes were still greatly conveyed to the watcher.

The new Jojo's anime has been utterly fantastic, better than the manga in my opinion; hyped for Stardust Crusaders.

Yeah, from my understanding, Yoshi just wanted to get it over and done with. He had said the series was causing him health issues from over working on it.

Having read the Oreimo manga first, I must say that the anime is really good. It follows the manga very closely then continues on from where the manga finishes without much of a change in terms of quality.

Yeah I've heard that too, its one of the reasons HxH doesn't have a consistent release schedule is since he suffers from extreme anxiety issues.

Oreimo was originally a light novel series, both the anime and the manga are both adaptations.

ah well i guess we can also say which light novel series have good adaptations

I haven't actually read any light novels, i can only find translations of them online and 1. most of them are just summaries and 2. i don't like reading books on electronics (idk why, i have no problem reading manga online).

To aru Kagaku no Railgun S is pretty much the best Manga adaptation I have ever seen, and I will likely never change my mind until season 3 comes out.

To aru Majutsu no Index is my favorite anime, but regardless the anime adaptation isn't nearly as good as the Light novel because they didn't screw it up. It's hard to screw up something that amazing.

Kuroko's Basketball is a pretty amazing adaptation.

Nisekoi is an interesting adaptation to say the least.

Bakuman has one of the best adaptations I have ever seen.

Detective Conan has a really good adaptation. (I like the cartoony animation).

Sword Art Online was pretty well adapted, but as most people who read the light novel agree, season 2 will likely be much, much, better.

Toradora was a great LN anime.

Finally, Blood lad had a short but very enjoyable anime.

And when I was younger, I'd have to say DBZ was the best anime adaptation in existence, though that opinion has changed, but they certainly did a good job with it.

Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii/The World Is Still Beautiful has stayed pretty close to the manga.

SAO was a terrible adaption, they had all the material in the available SS to make a good anime and choose to not only deviate and ruin the short stories they used but used crappy choices..The anime never felt well rounded to me and they left out to many good parts. The Deathgun arc is pretty good I hope it more faithfully done since they made so much money.

The big three were/are all faithful adaptions, along with FMAB, Fairy Tail, HxH,Railgun/index, highschool dxd, demon king daimou, monogatari, there is quite a few..

I think a lot of the ones mentioned off light novels could of been done better but budgets didnt allow for more than 12/25 eps, so they typically take a lot of the guts of the story and leave you with a taste or replace them with a lot of fan service...

Anime writers are complete shit compared to the work that mangakas/authors put in.. kind of switches from a good story to a sitcom story when they take over.. no meaning..

Oriemo/Toradora novels are some of the funniest LN i have ever read and the animes did no where near what i would call justice.. I think those shows could of pulled off a long running non shounen..

The Comic Artist and His Assistants. Really funny and faithful adaption of the manga. Plus the voice actor who voiced Kirito in SAO was a good choice as the lead. Hope they do another season. There is still plenty of source material.
