One Piece - Luffy uses Gear 6th and destroys
Marijoa, freeing the world from the corrupt Tenryuubito. He then
finds a portal to other worlds, a prelude to Last Piece.

Gintama - The original Samurai (Gintoki, Zura, Takasugi etc.)
VS The Yato Clan (except Kagura and ha otou-chan)

Monster - Johann should have died instead of that cliffhanger ending.

Major - Goro shouldn't have gotten that injury.
The anime should've ended with him, rich, famous and happy. He deserved it. :(

Berserk - Perfect tbh. Wish they had continued it though.

How do you think your fave anime(s) should end / should have ended?

Toradora - Taiga and Ryuji graduate college, marry and have kids (and that may be what happened)

Macross Frontier - Alto, Ranka, and Sheryl form a polyamorous family. Meanwhile Michael is alive. So he and Klan Klan get married

Clannad After Story - Ushio doesn't get sick. Tomoya and Kyou get married and form a happy family.

Heaven's Lost Property - Tomoki forms a huge polyamorous family with the Angeloids and Sohora. (I won't give the spoiler on the manga's ending)

Macross - Minmei gets hit by a stray missile.

Definitely this. It could have been a great message about living with loss and moving on with your life. Instead we get the save game reload.

I want someone to die
Before you go and say this is just some random, aggressive idea, let me explain.
It seems in all the anime I've watched, The really important main characters never die, or if they do die, they have extra lives, or are resurrected, or the last tear of there lover is magical and saves them. It feels like this happens too often, and I want to see a character who has been with the show for a substantial amount of time to bite the dust. I know it would be really sad, but I think this would build up a lot of drama and be interesting.
If there are any shows that do this, I haven't seen them yet

Aye. For me, it's mostly the fact that they took all that growth, pain, acceptance, etc that came about over those five years and erased it. Then replaced it with a two minute montage of their happy family. Even though they established the 'alternate universe' the entire show, it still felt like a retcon at the end.

Death Note - Light outsmarts Near and realizes his "utopian" society leading the world as it's god, as he takes a step back to think on his accomplishments Ryuk decides to write Lights name in his Death Note to make things more interesting. This causes Light to become a shinigami and is the precursor to a second series where Light attempts to bring order to the shinigami realm by tricking the king into a game down on earth.

Although it isn't my favorite, I don't dislike it, as many seem to:

11eyes - The series ends just seconds before the current end of episode 11 (i.e, evil wins).

No thanks. The ending was fine and made sense if you played the game. The Clannad movie, which was released before the tv series and animated by a different studio, would probably interest you.

Hunter x Hunter I honestly don't know how this show would end considering how unpredictable it tends to be, I'm just going to wing it and say that it's always interesting when members of the main cast die, perhaps maybe Kurapika getting killed by the Phantom Troupe while taking all of them with him, just as long as Gon and Killua remain friends, I'll be satisfied. I'm sure many would be pissed if their friendship ends up like Sasuke and Naruto's. Really hoping Togashi continues the manga and gives us a proper conclusion and not rush it like he did with Yu Yu Hakusho.

Sciadv series (chaoshead, steinsgate, roboticsnotes, chaos child, ?) - Members of "Sawada's secret organization" which includes the lab members, Gigalomaniacs, and the recently recruited robotics club split into multiple groups to infiltrate several major bases of the "council of 300" with the purpose in mind of leaking a massive amount of information to incriminate the group and its' members.

Code Geass : Lelouche doesn't die, and rules Britannia eternally as king. There is constant war between other countries and Britannia, but through his strategizing Lelouche keeps the battles waged to minimum casualties and stalemates. Essentially, he becomes an eternal enemy of the world and no other countries dare to do war with anyone else for fear of being overrun. The reason I want this ending is not because I want Lelouch to live, because I could care less about that, but rather because I personally believe what he accomplished by dying will be short lived and ultimately pointless. You have to constantly reinforce positive behavior, you can't just teach it once and expect it to stick for eternity.

Bokurano : They manage to kill God. Seriously hate the message of this anime, it's essentially the same message that the tale of Gilgamesh had, "There is nothing you can do in the face of god, if god wants you to suffer, then you suffer."

Infinite Stratos : They all kill Ichika and become lesbians and we get a hardcore Yuri ova.

As long as Gon and/or Killua don't die then I'm fine! but what you're saying about Kurapika I could see happen considering what kind of people he's dealing with, and Leorio idk about him either maybe he'll become a super awesome doctor and bring them back to life if they die haha, and what you said about Gon/Killua's relationship, they better not split! As for how I would end it, I know it wouldn't meet Hunter x Hunter's standards, but I would like everyone (at least the main characters) to live happily ever after! even Hisoka
