I'm having trouble resizing my background image. No matter what size I upload, it seems to always use the same size. About 300x300.

Any advice on how to fix this?

This photo is currently 1024 x 929

What do you mean by background image, looking at your profile shows a properly sized background image.

If you mean in a post, you can just do it like this
or like this (this way properly fits in the post)

Using it for what? Did you make sure to use the correct image link or try downloading it to your computer and the uploading it to the site?

Yes, I downloaded a 1024 x 929 .png file and uploaded to CR. But when I apply it, it defaults to a smaller size.

I've tried multiple sizes and multiple photos.

I'll do it again so you can see.

To be honest, most of the photo will be blocked anyway. Ishould just find a different picture.

That is strange, I just did it with the first photo from my previous post, and you can see the results. Try just pasting the image url into the upload box and seeing if that works.

Now that we're on the subject, and I know mods are reading this.... let me just say...

Thank God for FireFox Add-ons:

That way I don't have to deal with lazy web designers >_<

v They resize when they're in quotes because when they're in quotes they get a predefined width of 100% from the class "bb-image".

Funny enough, the photo fits when it is in a quote, and it tries to have the one actually uploaded to the site fit (it does in the preview), but from what I can tell, the devs don't like css resizing and instead rely on resizing it into different files. Using max-width would also fix a lot of the issues with cropping and avatars. That kind of stuff takes a backseat to other more important things, CR doesn't have very many devs.

I had changed my profile for like 30 minutes, but then I saw you say that the image was to small anyway (barely any of it shows from behind the center section) so I changed mine back. My advice would be to make sure that you are using the image itself and not some sort of thumbnail.

You should decrease the image size for that you should open this image in picture manager and in that application you should edit this image and make this image of 300*300 pixel and then upload .It will surely work out so try it.
