It's all reaalllly strange. It's like something from a sci-fi story or something. I'm getting LOST vibes myself.

EDIT:
It's strange indeed! Actually this suddenly came to mind when I first heard the plane vanished into thin air with no traces found!

For anyone interested into this type of plot, I would recommend this manga; Cage of Eden. This is one of my most favorite survival manga of all time.

Plot Summary from ANN:

"Akira and his classmates are returning from a class trip when their plane crashes on an small island in the middle of nowhere. Being separated from the plane during the crash, Akira begins his search for his friends and the plane, which he hopes landed intact with his friends' lives spared. Meanwhile, the passengers who survived the crash have their own problems:the island is occupied by creatures thought to be extinct, and the only means of contacting help, the plane's radio, was damaged in the crash. The situation becomes dire as some are eaten alive and others kill in desperation and fear. Bringing his friends together along with other passengers from the plane, Akira and the others' fight for survival begins not with living day to day, but just trying to stay off the menu."

Not trying to offend anyone here, though i guess i shouldn't recommend a manga in this thread.

Most likely dead. Starry said they ran out of fuel within the first 32 hours. But then again..there's no plane crash. I think they got sucked into a worm hole. It just makes no sense. They just vanished. How could we not find a big giant plane? It's scary imagining being on that plane.

They don't want to admit it http://www.businessinsider.com/aerial-view-of-oil-slick-believed-to-be-from-the-missing-malaysia-plane-2014-3 I'm not a geologist but even as a layman I can understand that oil slick that big don't appear out of no where in the ocean. If you ask me I think they are deeeeeep down in the ocean. Like that ship from pirate of the caribbean

If they admit that the oil-slick is from the plane, everyone will be LIKE WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Also you mention where is the giant plane or debris, it's not that its not there. It's that they don't want to find it back to what I said about people will WAHHHHHHHHHHH

Why would they hide it though? Aren't people already going "WAHHHHHH", since the most likely outcome is that they crashed? I don't think they would be hiding it. They have ships and planes looking all over for that plane, I don't think they'd continue wasting money trying to find it.

Regarding that oil spill, can't that just be from a boat or sub?

Well it's just how it is, cuz Malaysian government probably don't want Chinese tourists to be thinking if you take a flight, it'll be the last flight you ever take. I'm just saying this could be one reasom. Anyway I'm very surprised that the stock for that airline company is only slightly affected.

You remember that incident they had in Thailand, HK tourists on a bus? that didn't go so well right. I think that the Malaysian government might already know what happened, or that they are trying to not know what happened.

Anime plane which anime is that? sounds hawt.

Edit: Also back to the topic, you probably have like the IQ of 50 if you actually think the Malaysian government don't already know what happened. Right now it's really just the Malaysian government thinking "Oh my god should I tell these people if I do that they'll QQ" This is real life man it's not a mystery anime of course people know what happens when shit this big goes down. The hard part is how they cover up.

Well then I hope it's Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar. I hope like Tenchi them folks found a whole new other world with a lot of girls at an academy with fighting robots. It's a good anime by the way I'm watching it right now in English dub recognize one of the voice actress from many of her hentai work.

my IQ isn't 50 (though relatively close lol) but i have a hard time believing the government is hiding information on what happened this is an international search, if Malaysia had anything to hide they would be discovered very soon.

besides this is a matter of over 200 people from over 10 different countries missing, it isn't just Malaysia's problem.

although it'd make a good story, it doesn't seem very realistic.

Anyone else besides me can't get the idea of this Malaysian plane getting stuck in the past and then dealing with Stephen King's langoliers out of their head?

lol, if you haven't read the Langoliers you really should, it's relevant. There's a movie out there too I believe.

Oh and talking of planes, have you seen this incident that happened 2 days ago?

i do hope we can have answers soon, as interesting as this is, the families can't have closure and that really bites
