Everyone's seen it and heard it, the dreaded spoilers. How do you try to forget them?

Personally I like to take my height and weight and calculate the lethal max of NyQuil I can drink, then I can watch anime the next day.

I don't watch the anime that was spoiled for me for two to three years.

Simple, I don't need to forget them as I watch the anime shortly after airing.

Sad thing is, for me, is that I end up spoiling the episode for my self. The way I forget it about it is that I end up getting absorbed in the anime that I tend to forget about that I read.

I go on a drug spree, spend hours doing obscene things, then I come back.

What about anime adaptions from Visual Novels, Manga, and other media?

Try to watch different anime series and go back to the anime you were spoiled in a month or two. Works for me.

Watch the video before reading the comments? The way people freak out over spoilers is worse than the "spoilers" themselves.

I never can. After I read/hear one, I keep telling myself "FORGET THAT *insert person here* DIES!!!" over and over until it's permanently engraved into my memory.

Easy. I don't remember what I ate for breakfast. You really think I am going to remember what was spoiled for me?

Also I only use forums for Anime here on CR. I don't go to any threads until I have seen my anime for the day. If it is a case of Anime airs say... Monday, but CR (or FUNi) don't air it until like Wednesday. I won't go to that thread until Wednesday, after I have seen the episode.

Other than that though, spoilers really just don't bother me. Half the time I usually predict what is going to happen, and if it doesn't go like I predict myself even if it's spoiled I am still pleasantly surprised seeing it for myself.

Easy: I don't idolize surprise. Stop giving spoilers so much weight, and they will mean less in totality.

I don't really care about spoilers.

Because I don't really care, I tend to forget them easily. But even if I don't, it doesn't sour my enjoyment of a show.

I'm absent minded most of the times so any spoiler has more a chance of escaping me before the episode.
