I <3 their relationship, but only as best buddies! I hope they never ever turn Yaoi on us

I actually cried a few times because of all those caring moments during the show, especially with episode 85

What about Ranma vs Ryoga? Guts and Griffith? Kamille and Jerid.

Oh wait wait, it's Duo's....um..

Fate/Duo's anyone? You got the Saber Shirou and the Archer Rin and Illya Berserker!

What about Panty&Stocking vs the Demon Sisters? It's both duo's and rivals!

Ummmmm, you can't talk about Gon and Killua without mentioning Goten and Trunks, or so goes my view. DBZ had to have a huge influence, and I ain't talking about Cell-oh here.

"Gon...you are light."

^ This line. My gosh. I don't remember what episode it is from, but it just dropped me when Killua said that.

They have one of the best bromance in this show tbh, all the way from when they first met. It reminds me a little of another TV series I watch although they are actually brothers.

Well that's another good example but the one that came to my head was a TV series called Supernatural. It's why I omitted the word 'anime' in it since it's live action. (there is an anime adaptation of it though but imo, the TV series is much better)

What they have is more than bromance... you can't just describe it as bromance. We're at a level too low to be able to comprehend what they have.

Their relationship is one of the primary reasons I've enjoyed the show so much, and that's a lot considering it's a shounen, most other anime I enjoy because it accomplishes the goal of the genre, either by making you laugh heavily, or become emotionally enticed throughout certain situations, not saying other shonen don't great friendships, I just haven't seen one yet that's anywhere near as amazing as theirs (Primarily Subjectively, but somewhat objectively too)

Their relationship is an amazing thing and has been getting better since they meet at the Hunter Exam. Just stop and think about all they did together, it's ridiculous.

I just want to point out the entire group from the Hunter Exam because i like that even more than just Gon and Killua. I remember watching the old version last year and tearing up when they were about to go their separate ways after the Hunter Exam, but Leorio and Kurapika came back to help Gon bring Killua back. Leorio said he'd follow Gon to the ends of the Earth. If that's not amazing then i apologize lmao

This is one of the reasons HunterxHunter was raised above most other shonen manga to me ;-;
I was absolutely touched during the Chimera Ant arc where Killua was hurt that Gon wanted to try and do everything on his own. During such an important mission, what Killua is worried about isn't the world, or the threat of the ants. It's about whether or not he was even important to Gon. How many shounen manga highlight something like that?

Gon and Killua's relationship is the highlight of HxH for me. It's beautiful and tragic. They're obviously very close, but especially with the latest episodes, I feel like Gon just doesn't feel as strongly as Killua does. Which is sad, and makes me feel terrible for Killua. I hope they don't end up as enemies or even part ways. That would just be too heartbreaking, as I'm sure Killua would be crushed.

As you can tell, I'm much more concerned about poor Killu here than Gon. Gon is a bonehead and has been really irritating me these past few episodes.

I would categorize their relationship as a very, very strong bromance. There are obvious romantic undertones, whether ya'll want to acknowledge them or not. I'd prefer their relationship stay in this sort of ambiguous place, though, and not veer completely into romance or just simple friendship territory. It is a bond that transcends human understanding, and I love that.

i love their friendship, but I like it more on Killua's side. Gon is literally everything to him, and (without giving too much away) the last arc in the manga proves that more than anything. Gon showed him a whole new life and world unknown to him and he changed his ways of living and of thinking. I guess you can say he needs Gon.

Gon, on the other hand, doesn't need Killua nor has he been necessarily changed by him. If he has, it hasn't had anything to do with his character. He's still the same ole' happy-go-lucky Gon. Sure, if anything happened to Killua he'd go berserk, but we've already seen him lose his mind over what happened with Kite. I'm not sure his reaction to Killua would be any different, because he cares for all his friends equally and will go to lengths to protect them. That is the nature of Gon.

....

i love this series lol
