The search function on the forum isn't good. That is one thing about this forum I noticed.

Since the ruling that essentially killed net neutrality, streaming video here has become unreliable. I think ISPs are throttling this site. I have different ISPs at my home and office, and have had to nearly forget about 720 streams. Sometimes I even get stopping to buffer in 480 streams. Has anyone else had this problem?

In case anyone wanted to know, Cincinnati Bell Zoomtown is my home provider and Clear, now owned by Sprint, is what I use at my office.

I've had the same problem. Sometimes the videos play with no problem, other times - especially on a Friday or Saturday night, I can't enjoy what I'm watching at all because the videos keep stopping. Unfortunately, the videos here don't have a buffer bar so I can't even tell if the video is just not loading properly or not.

I have high-speed internet but my Internet provider would give me "Turbo-Speed" if I paid more money. Well say I did that, then what happens? Will everyone else need to pay for a faster speed too in order to keep their videos running smoothly as they are completing with my Turbo-Speed? So then we all have to keep increasing our speed as we subscribers continue to compete with each other by paying more, then the Internet providers get richer, and in the end we subscribers are still competing for videos to download on our computer faster than someone else's so the videos play well? So in the end we are paying lots more for the same bad service? Or am I just misunderstanding how this all works? (I'm not trying to be sarcastic - I'm really wondering if this is how it works 'cause it seems crazy to me)

You just can't have a perfect legal streaming site and a perfect social media site in one site. Not with today's internet capabilities at least.

It could be the fact that there's way too many ads on the streamed shows. There are other websites that provide free, no ad streaming. Also facebook and twitter are all very general websites where members aren't united by their love for a hobby (watching anime for example). None of the friends I hang out with in person actually use CR. All the buddies I currently have I attained through this website.

Are you kidding? There are no ads for us here who actually pay money. Most ad-free sites are illegal, save for a few. None of them compare to CR. If you're not even paying money, then how can you complain about ads?

Exactly! FOR THOSE WHO PAY A MONTHLY FEE you'll be free of ads XD Which is a genuine reason for someone to move to another site that doesn't require them to pay a fee. It might not be a problem for you to pay monthly, but imagine a jobless high school student who can't pay for ad free streaming.

I think it's legitimate to complain about ads! I think it's legitimate to complain about absolutely anything! Complaints don't need to be reasonable! They're complaints, get over it.

Also, if you read my post carefully, you'll realize that I'M NOT complaining about ads (because I don't use this site to watch anime - I use it for anime recommendations), rather I was simply answering the question being asked by the thread starter. They were wondering why there were so many empty accounts.

I come to watch anime, the forums are just a bonus for me, the manga app is interesting, but needs some color pages, like the japanese version of some manga. The site is easy to use though the ad's need some work. like more variety, I just hope the site dose not become a commercial mess and overly greedy.

Sorry to inform you, but even if you pay, you are not ad-free. You still get that big advertisement for games etc. that appears on the main page.
