Posted 3/11/14
Neither am I average or normal. I'm too perfect that it's become my imperfection. That's my special ability.

Ordinary people are boring. I think people have a tendency to mean the act of conforming when it comes to the topic of "normal" or "average"

Chances are you are original in your own way and just don't recognize it because you are holding yourself to mainstream standards of "exceptional" people.

Smart, strong, good looking all those qualifiers are generic qualifiers for people trying to conform.

You may have a devoted personality or unusual creativity or advanced knowledge in something people may just not appreciate.

I say as long as you are passionate about something. You'll be interesting to the right people. I've met too many "blank slated" people in my lifetime, I honestly wonder how society accommodates so many carbon copies of people just looking to "conform".

Put a bunch of "unnormal" people with 1 "normal" person and suddenly he is the unnormal. Funny thing to think about

Well regarding being normal or not im not entirely sure. To most non-anime fans we are not normal. If we go by the simple definition of GayAsianBoy regarding effort, i would say im quick to give up when things get hard.

The vast majority of people are ordinary - leaving a mark on history is, arguably, what makes someone extraordinary, and most people are too busy just trying to make it to the next big event in their lives to shape the future.

Like most people, I'm utterly unremarkable except in regards to how unremarkable I am. I'd not wish to drag other people down to my level, though I also hate how circumstance often elevates people who don't deserve it and keeps the masses down.

I guess that's a reasonable way of thinking. I don't oppose the idea of "loving yourself for who you are" , but at the same time I believe that you can drastically improve yourself if you choose to. Genetic predisposition gives us a limit sure, but you are able to challenge those limits to an extent. Not cute? Get a different haircut, change your style. Not fast? Work out, exercise, and see how much faster you can get. Not smart? Try different study methods and ask for help when needed, etc. Regardless, there will always be room for improvement. But I disagree with the mentality of "this is all I can do, and I can't improve". It's very negative, and it's not productive.

I fit in, but I'm apparently not normal, according to others. in good ways, in bad ways, etc.

Mhm, I'm pleased with the discussion going on here. As a side note, that thing at the beginning was a little short from the first person I wrote. Not necessarily how I actually am or how I actually feel. I mean, seriously. I'm like a sociopath. Why would you think that thing about being normal is about me?

Unless sociopaths are normal now. Are they?

Hey! Watch it there, buddy! That sort of steps over the line.

As part of the S&PUI ( Sociopaths and Psychopaths Union International ) I may take offense.

Well, I would if I honestly cared about your opinions on an emotional level, which of course... well, :snort:, you know.

There is a reason extraordinary is spelled extra-ordinary, so my kindergarten teacher had said.

Yes, except I don't take being a sociopath seriously. As in, I don't really care if I mock myself or other sociopaths. Because...well...you know.....the whole apathy thing.

The best 'normal' is abnormal. I be what I want. I don't need to bring anyone down to my level. I bring people together.
