Third episode really got my hopes back up about this show. I was really looking forward to this when it was announced and enjoyed the first episode, albeit not as much as I was expecting. The second episode didn't really do anything for me. But the third really did tie the two together nicely giving you a good sense of the characters and what they can do with there powers. I think the show really can do some interesting things with the powers all being vision based, even though I'm still not sure what Shintaro's power is. Still think there is a lot to look forward to.

Same, but I like Kido's character from this episode so that's at least something.

Edit: I think the most interesting part of each episode is the afterward credits with that girl talking about..well what's on her mind I guess.

It's probably the origin story of their powers, I'd assume.

Figured I'd watch until IA / Mary showed up (or at least until it covered Heat Haze Days), and yep, Ep. 3 was the first one that was actually enjoyable.

They should've started with this episode. The previous ones really, really sucked. Maybe remix episode 2 and 3 together.

I, for one, enjoyed the story-telling choice of setting things up with Episode 1 and 2, and not meshing them together until episode 3.

Finally, Kido was properly introduced. Best episode so far, although that doesn't say much.

Hopefully SHAFT doesn't botch up my favorite song next week.

I like the idea of how they presented the story, and the dynamic between Not-Arararagi and Not-Rin is something I am thinking might be great, but it wasn't until this episode that the series started to feel like anything except a bad parody of the Monogatari series, and that the idea behind the way the story was presented was actually realized: felt like the previous two episodes couldn't really justify themselves by themselves, and even in their context of setting up for episode three doesn't seem to justify how very unrewarding they felt.

Love this series so far. I hope Shaft goes all out with their signature moves. The more head tilts, the better.

Agreed.

It didn't even really feel like a bad Mono parody, because at least Nisio is a good writer and his dialogue is both entertaining and provides character insight. This has just been awful and boring, and the culmination of the first and second episodes here doesn't make up for the multiple problems so far, despite the method of storytelling being a pretty interesting idea.

Let's hope they don't. I mean, it was the song that got Kagepro really well known. But yeah, I can't wait to see Konoha next week...

Episode 3
Introduction to the rest of Mekakushi Dan.

Kinda dislike how they made Kano out to be dorky when in the manga/songs he was portrayed as much cooler/mysterious.

Mary spotted<3.Hopefully they don't make her look out to be nothing but moe character because she's so much more than just that.

Kagerou Days next,which means

Episode 3

I had my doubts, but damn, finally we get a good episode. I thought Shaft did a good job presenting all the characters in the episode, I think of them are great. Then I loved how they show everything coming together and actually revealing the the main drive of the show. A group of teenagers with eye powers? I like the idea!

I hope they keep the momentum up.

I agree with you and maxgale.

The first two episodes just felt so out of place comapred to this one. I think they could have done a much better job of presenting it because my expectation of the anime dropped significantly after those two episodes.

And now the third episode finally brings everything together and I'm actually excited to see where this one goes.
