Kill la Kill's a pretty big show right now, but I'm waiting for it to finish airing before I decide whether or not to jump onto it (along with Nagi no Asukara and Golden Time). I'm already planning to watch the last two, as they're in my preferred taste. Kill la Kill however is, from what I've heard, a fantastically entertaining action show provided I can turn my brain off while watching it. Because seriously, I've heard some major bashes against its writing.

You don't have to ask to watch it when you can just watch it.

You will not know if you will like something if you do not try it first.

What is the point of listening (to)/reading the rhetoric someone else wrote.

That's true. There's not much harm in trying one episode or two to see.

Such as?

We have no way of telling if your concerns are well-founded or not if we don't know what they are.

Gigguk of the Anime Zone said it wasn't really something to watch for the plot, and I have a friend who's watching it who says it's similar to Gurren Lagaan. But I should probably try it myself.

I think you would like it. I've never watched Gurren Lagaan, but I am definitely enjoying Kill la Kill a lot.

If you've seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann you have a good idea what you're in for, but I think both it and Kill La Kill are very well written with excellent characters and lots of engaging symbolism. But there's a difference between whether the writing is good or bad, and whether the writing does or doesn't do what you'd like it to. Both are valid considerations, but I can only tell you I think the writing is good. I can't know whether the story will appeal to you.

I guess I'd say Kill La Kill is off the walls, but with a very carefully planned trajectory.

Absolutely watch this show. It's full of fanservice, but that is to be expected when clothing is the focus of the show. The first ten episodes don't really stand out as it gets old and repetitive, but from episode 11 onward, the show really picks up the intensity. If you enjoy Gurren Lagaan, you will definitely love this show.

I never really understood the TTGL comparisons. I realize its because of the director, but to me the shows aren't even close to similar.
