Why do people ask these questions? If you're gonna watch it, watch it.

It really starts picking up in the second half, though (eps 16 onward).

Your opinion is wrong, you know.

The best way to find out is by giving it a shot, always works for me. Give it two-four episodes. That should give you the general idea of the show.

Woah now, YOUR Opinion is wrong!

First off, despite "picking up" in the later half as you say, it's never "slow" to begin with. More things happen in every Kill la kill episode, than the average 2-cour anime has in it's entire existence. My favorite episode is locked at Episode 3 still, despite the filler-esq 4th episode, the 5th and 6th really hit things hard in their own way.

Aaaand, I like A-1 Pictures. I believe they've got the talent(also money) to do some good work. Now, I'm not sure we'll ever get an original series out of them. But if we did, it has a chance at making some heads roll.

I do not like Fairy Tail however. It's got some flair to it, but it's totally not geared towards me.

Go for the exhibitionism, stay for the mother/daughter molestation.

Okay, wut...

KLK is very overrated. I had to watch, drop, and start watching again. Now that i've finally made it this far, i would only re-watch the Harime Nui footage. Nothing else.

I especially enjoy Kill la Kill. It's crazy, weird, completely irreverent, off the wall and funny. These are some of the best animated fight scenes I've ever seen. Kill la Kill grabs you and doesn't let go.The story is completely asinine, but I think that's part of its charm. It never takes itself seriously. It's a series you can just kind of get distracted by for a little while. It doesn't take much more effort than sitting down and watching it. You don't have to invest in it. This is one of those series we're going to look back on in 10 yrs and wish we had more anime like it. TRIGGER is saving anime!

Oh, and the soundtrack...eeeek so good.

Whoa whoa whoa, when did I ever say it was slow in the first half? The second half has definitely ramped things up into PANIC mode, but the first half was a ridiculous amount of manic fun in the vein of TTGL mixed with FLCL mixed with PSG. It was a really fun ride.

I wasn't necessarily commenting on A-1 themselves, but that guy said that their would've made the show better, which is just not true. The highly-stylized art is a huge part of the show itself, and if it were more "standard" it wouldn't fit with the punchy animation and the ridiculous nature of the show itself.

I very much disagree. You would only feel that way if you ONLY like Psycho characters. I like a lot more than that.

I might have misinterpreted what you were saying. I thought you were saying she was the only good character.

I also dropped it originally before I continued watching it.

If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry, I overreacted a little...

Kill La Kill is a good mainstream anime like Attack on Titan. Meaning it's has a good art style, good music, in your face action, etc but falls short in the sense that its characters are lacking as they have little to no development. If you like an anime for it's plot and not characters then this is a good show for you.

Forcing your way through it is definitely the wrong way to go. That pretty much goes for anything.
