Flappy Bird Might Return
Posted 3/12/14
I feel that I'm the only one who likes Flappy Bird ;-;

And who cares if it's a publicity stunt--it's not like the world will end just because a game dev wants more attention.

This app on your phone went viral. As it became viral, many people became aware of it and played it. Hoping, I'm assuming you know about it, seen it, or at least played it once. You have to tap the screen to make your bird fly through piped on the top & bottom of your screen. One little touch of a pipe, and it's game over. It's rare for someone to get at least 15+ taps in my opinion. It escalated to people trying to achieve a certain score or beating others. The game is menacingly hard, and it's a free app. It became to insane, that actual people became very angry, oddly ill, and there have been cases of deaths over this game.

Please tell me that was a joke.

Seriously? That is the controversy? Some people just don't like a stupid little phone game? Why is this a story? Why does anyone care? Just... What the hell?

According to the developer himself he put the game down from app stores because he couldn't take all the hate he received from the game on Twitter while also receiving death threats from friends and family around him, since he grow up in a poor family and a poor country and all of a sudden he had 500k $ per day from just a game.

And if you think about it, he said that one of the reasons why he put the game offline in the beginning was because his friends was sending death threats to him and his now considering to bring it back up. This to me at least shows that he doesn't give a single F**K about his friends and/or family and that he only cares about the amount of money his been avail to gain from this one shitty game.

Well he said that he originally put the game down because he couldn't handle the amount of death threats that his received, if he puts is back up then this either shows that he was lying about the death threats or that he doesn't give a damn and only wants more €€€$$$$€€€ If you know what I mean

No. That says to me that either a) he has a shitty family and shitty friends for wanting him to die or b) he is a crafty storyteller who made that shit about death threats from family and friends up to gain even more publicity.

If people were trolling him that hard on social media platforms, then I do feel a bit sorry for the guy. But he's obviously making the best of the extra publicity.

Either way, this is a non-story and I fail to see why anyone cares.

Who cares? Really I'm actually curious as to who would be mad or thrilled that it would come back. There are hundreds of clones that replicate the game perfectly if there are people who really want to play it, and if you want to play it THAT bad, then go on ebay, go on kijiji, ask a friend or classmate if they'll sell you their iPod or phone with the game installed on it, but you're gunna be paying like a 1000 dollars for it. As someone going to school to learn about this stuff it makes me sad that this piece of crap got the credit it did. Hey, if you wanna make easy money and don't give a shit about making some original content, then mobile and facebook games are for you.

You guys, don't be mad or upset that you couldn't turn a game into something famous for money.

The buzz around Flappy Bird is simple, there are those who hate the game and those who love (are obsessed) whit the game. Also, the so called hardcore gamers are bashing the game due to its simplicity and calling it not a real game. While the casual gamers are defending the game. Then we have the middle group who doesn't understand why there's so much buzz around Flappy bird.

It's not a joke. Article on a death is included in my link:

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/537919/20140209/chicago-teen-kills-brother-over-flappy-bird.htm#.UyDBrfldWj8

Actually it is a joke. It is obvious satire.

Taken from the article: Police officer Marco Grant told Huzlers, “It’s a tragedy, he murdered his own brother because of a stupid game, I mean, Iv’e played the game before, and it’s hard as sh*t, f*ck that game! I couldn’t even pass 5, Why the f*ck are you a bird if you can’t f*cking fly straight, fake a*s Super Mario piece of sh*t!”. The officer then threw a fit as he remembered how frustrating the game was and had to be taken away by other officers.

It is highly suspect that an officer would react like that to a game.

Its not that hard to get Flappy Bird, all you need is Cydia and Vshare app. I redownloaded Flappy Bird like 2 hours ago lol.

(Vshare is basically a cracked appstore where you can download many paid/removed apps or older versions of existing apps for free, although many are unavailable/dont work)
