I was using Firefox and I had tons of issues with Crunchyroll. Even after switching to a VPN and giving priority to streaming traffic. I switched to Internet Explorer and the site loads up blazing fast. No issues whatsoever. If you are having trouble with pc streaming, use Internet Explorer. This is one example of Internet Explorer being a badass. Internet Explorer has come a long way gentlemen. Its now a very versatile platform that can also support add ons.

Yeah I've tried using Google Chrome, Firefox and IE and the videos I'm trying to watch just stutters or doesn't load at all. Oh well, good to know I'm wasting $7.00 a month for this service.

I've noticed this, but haven't tested it enough, to know if it is actually a correlation. I know FUNi had the same thing happen as well. Oh well I have been mostly using my Roku the last few weeks so it really doesn't matter to me.

On Chrome, if I pause, often it will break the stream or will come back without audio. Sometimes the initial load won't have audio.

However, I refuse to use IE. I'm glad to know there are options for when I give up though. IE should be the exception, not the standard. The marketshare is with Chrome and Firefox.

I use chrome myself, a short time ago I tried using IE once more (was still dealing with a malicious chrome extension at the time) and found it slower to move through the site with.

As for streaming issues I think it has a lot to do with the DRM used in the buffering... as all the problems I see here are things I often get on many streaming sites, especially those that put limiters on the buffer like Crunchyroll, otherwise standard progressive h.264 streaming seems to work as it's expected to on all browsers for me.

I get this a lot, normally a refresh will fix. when that doesn't, resetting the connection usually does. because of that I can see it as safe that the biggest problem here may not be crunchyroll's end since I can fix it locally with a reset. Though I also think there are things that CR can probably do to ease the issues brought about by connection/routing faults by fixing some issues with their overly complicated progressive streaming.

Well, my problems are more to do with my crappy internet than anything. I've never noticed a difference in how CR runs through Chrome vs IE. Maybe I'm just used to videos not loading properly at this point.

The biggest issue with streaming is the routing, CR and Netflex take largely the same route. If you notice the largest slow downs are around prime time of the east coast and the west coast.

Nothing we can do until that issue is resolved.
