Hahahah you know why? same writer xD

If that is the case then his writing has gotten more otaku-ish. I am kind of disappointed really. It's a great story and all, just sad that he went the trope character idiosyncrasy path. From what I remember the characters in Scrapped Princess acted rather normally with subtle character traits.

I think I am getting so irritable because I see this happening everywhere. It's like hey you know what, this would be better if you used more subtlety. It appears that there are editors out there saying, be less subtle, the kids won't get this.

Although that would add more depth to the story, from what I recall from S-P it helped the show at it's serious moments. However atm this is what sells over there, and even here it attracts more, and I can't recall his last best selling work in a while, I can't really bash the guy for wanting to have food on his table, I mean his last show Outbreak company that got animated last year didn't do that magnificent in selling but it brought more attention to him, so now kicking up the trope notch a bit until he hits the selling point.

The people that you really want to complain to is the audience over at Japan, unless they start changing their taste as a majority, you will be at the short end of the stick so to speak haha.

You know what, guys?

I love this show. That's all I have to say. It's a different vibe to me than Scrapped Princess (only seen 5 episodes of that one so far), but it's the exact same type of charm.

That vehicle Chaika got to work is pretty cool. The exploding turkey bit was interesting lol. Chaika is adorable as usual.

I haven't seen Scrapped Princess (I probably won't either), but to me, this anime is pretty good. There's certainly a lot of questions being asked right about now, but I have come to really like this. This episode was interesting, and that blonde lady that showed up in the end....

lol. The weird looking dogs somehow reminded me of pikachu. idk why, because even though it shoots lightning, its not yellow, and the dogs aren't mice.

After episode 3, I can say an anime that finally has this type of setting and a adventure on top of it that is fantastic. I see Scrapped Princess being mentioned a lot. Seems I need to check that out to and put in my que.

hahaha LOLZ. This made my day. I open the spoiler tag thinking there was nothing to be worried about and I the first picture is a mutated pikachu gone wrong. Out of all the pictures, I thought the second last was the worst.

it's a show that should definitely be watched, especially if you like this one. since it's an older show (2003) not really sure where you would be able to watch it legally.. also, since it was licenced by Bandai, physical copies are probably impossible to find now.

heh, luckily for me, I knew the series would be amazing, so I bought them as soon as they were released.

Scrapped Princess was actually the first series I ever watched fansubbed, so it's been pretty influential to me and I'm really happy to see some new shows with the same feel.

This show is pretty good so far. I usually go by the rule of three episodes before I make the decision to drop it or not, but since the start of episode 1 I was hooked.

I just kinda found it by accident messing around with Winamp (wow that makes me sound old) and someone had online streaming every episode. I was hooked since.
