That dude is a douchebag.

I absolutely agree! I loved it when Daichi blew away the tower while he was drinking coffee. His shock priceless! I cant wait to find out more background on Hana and Teppei!

I am also curious to see how absurd the mechas will get! after the first episode has the multi-stage deployment sequence (which requires the bases in a synchronized orbit), and then Teppei's mecha appearing.. how large will they get!?

Hmm may I possibly get an explanation of how the alien mechas work from someone who understands this much better than I do? I can't tell if I am over thinking this/ not turning off my brain enough / or this is just smarter than I am. From what I have observed in their dialogue, the mecha is their true form yes? so now how did they revert into a humanoid form? why is it when ever they are beaten they turn into a cube and return to their base? where exactly is their FREAKING base, is it on an asteroid or a moon base? I think I definitely missed some stuff in the first episode for me to be a bit agitated in the "antagonist" setting construct.

The other thing is, can we assume Teppie is in some way a former child/ally of the two antagonists that have been shown? or is it just the mechaloid that they recognize.... and lastly was he operating the albion remotely within the chamber he was in or did he physically go into space to save dacchi.....?
I think I can let go of everything, but what I just can't seem to graps is why exactly do they turn into cubes when defeated and why aren't they (the earthlings, our MC's) trying to capture or chase those cubes to bring back and figure what the hell is that thing.

I am not fully sure myself, but i think when they mention that they are in their 'true' form i think they mean that to them that is the 'form' they like best. As in they are humanoid, but they love piloting more than anything else, and refer to being able to fly their full mecha as their true selves (i.e. they treat the mecha as a literal extension of their bodies). i could be completely wrong on this, but that is the feeling i am getting at the moment. I believe the cube is their ship they launch through space and as it approaches earth they construct the mech around it .

As for teppei's mecha, i believe it could of left the station and gone into orbit. if you consider the enemies mechs launch on a rail to the moon surface, passing through a barrier(what i think they called a hyperspace window) allowing them to literally passthrough the entire moon. If Teppeis mech can do this similarily, it would stand that his pod went out to orbit as well.

Episode 4

Decent episode although it felt kinda fast. There's still a lot of mysteries going on like those twins. The fight felt a bit short though.

Plot wise aside, we get some belly button action heh.

I liked this episode. Thought it was pretty lax for the most part and that ending was pretty sweet.

Also, I really want to see more of Hana! She has barely gotten any screen time, it's kind of annoying me.

Does anyone else think the main mecha is just Heroman on steroids? If that's what they're going for, I totally don't mind.

4 Episodes in, and I'm seriously loving it.

This really feels like a do-over of Star Driver, only with 50% less fabulous and 25% more complicated terms. I mean, they even have the whole "singing during a mecha combat" thing going on.

I think it's less of a mecha anime, and "coming-of-age anime with mecha attached to the plot". It's slow, but it's deliberately slow because it wants to show us details about each character, as well as the world they're in. it also helps to untangle all the jargon they've been throwing at us. Like, what's a Blume? Or an Orgone energy? And what makes it different from the "libido" that the Kiltgang wants to collect?

So many questions, hopefully they'll be answered.
