Good to know.

Does anyone else think the main mecha is just Heroman on steroids? If that's what they're going for, I totally don't mind.

And yes, the Earth Driver or whatever the hell its called does look like an oversized Heroman. Bones recycling at work.

Loving this show so far, especially the animation.

Also I'm trying really hard not to make jokes about Hana wanting to see his "boomerang".

Oh, how long is this series going to go for?

Episode 4 and we STILL don't get to see any skin-tight bodysuits?

Right now its ok but the plot has some where to go so I am going to keep watching. Still for all the rumored mecha this season only Knights of Sidnoia is devering on the action. AND THATS CGI....... oh well.

Episode 4

The Kiltgang has landed on Tanegashima, and is out to capture Teppei, who turns out to be one of them, but is siding with the humans. The bunny virus was brilliant, but that is no match for Akari. That was an alright episode there seeing that Teppei is not exactly human. Anyway, given how crowded my schedule is already that I think this will be it for me as far as this show goes. It's interesting, but pretty bland as a mecha show.

So Teppei and Hana aren't human. We know Teppei is a Kiltgang, so what is Hana?

Overall a decent episode, completely saved by Akari's dancing around while showing her magical belly button.

To me, it looks like a supersized Gundam 0083 machine, especially the head. I find it rather cool.

I'm trying really hard not to make jokes about libidos, magical belly buttons, and earth engines rising.....shit, that probably gives the whole joke away.

This show is so... mecha. It's got that weird blend of science-fantasy, lots of twists and turns, and an air of silliness contrasted by the somewhat horrific things that I'm sure will happen later.

That's kind of a specific blend of elements, and yet I'm seeing it in a lot of mecha shows lately. Valvrave and Nobunaga the Fool both also have this going on. Or am I a noob and haven't realized that every mecha show is this way...?

I'm absolutely sold on this show after that episode.

Whoever is behind this is really paying attention to what they are doing, because the thematic coherence of the whole show, especially in this episode (although things aren't perfectly clear yet), is wonderful to see.

There's a lot of good writing that's going on here, the humor is pleasant, the animation looks splendid and they do good character work each and every week.

Now I'm going to have to start thinking about whether or not I want to put this on hold for a marathon or not; part of me thinks I might enjoy it more that way.

All we need is a Meowth. Maybe an evil version of that Squirrel thing.

Episode 5

Decent episode and it had a good mixture/balance of comedy and serious moments. The word "dad" can hold so much meaning for a three letter word though.

And in a world like Captain Earth, not everything goes according to plan.

On another note, Akari's belly forte has some influences XD
