It's Akira Ishida, no mistaking it. He's the only guy who can pull that voice.

Anyway, lack of robot action aside (plus, action aside from the Earth Engine forming is pretty lame), I'm loving the series so far. This series loves to play straight with the tropes, but the end result is excellent character development, so I'm good with that. Hopefully they'll do the same for Daichi and Hana.

One thing though... Since it's "Heso Forte" in Japanese, why don't we switch it to "Navel Forte" in English, translation team? It sure sounds a heck of a lot better than "Belly Button Forte", and much more accurate than "Belly Forte"?

... also, I am sad that we aren't able to see Hana's Forte... OTZ

Episode 5

I have to say that I really liked this episode. I liked how the focus was on Teppei and Akira. It was cool that Teppei got to meet his dad and that his dad actually really cared about him, that definitely caught Teppei off surprise.

Also I'm glad that Akira and Teppei are looking like they're going to have a thing and not some stupid love triangle between Akira, Hana, and Daichi. It's nice change of pace for once, I like it when animes have multiple relationships going on.

And this scene was great

That in bold, SO much!!! just that! The paring is as perfect as it can be, I really freaking hope they just keep it that way, Dachi's Wild Wonder personality just Meshes well with Hana's calm and cute demeanor...Then we have Teppie being the coy shy kid with Akira's, (hmm would precocious be suitable?) if not then, Energetic amusing (and even cute I would say, finally warmed up to her lol) personality. I like those groupings a lot since within each pair they play upon one another, almost like a yin-yang effect.

Exactly, they mesh very well together and compliment each other perfectly. Just like Hana and Daichi. They're a good couple too.

I hope these pairing just stay put and that there's no crossing of any lines!

Another anime that is solid! What a lot of us thought to be Mecha heavy is more about space , relationships, enemies, some fun moments and just a good story that gets better. Nice touc hes about Teppei's Dad and yes Akari's mom.

A big ?? arose why is the earth in danger that the bigwigs need escape Mechas ?

Second ? What is with all those people in those capsules? Gene donors / criminalss or something else?

Just some ramblings that are probably wrong but I'll say them anyway:

The escape plan is because of the Kiltgangs. The elites pretty much think earth is screwed no matter what so they've prepared themselves to escape into deep space or something once the Kiltgang reach the earth's surface which every one apparently thinks means an automatic game over for humanity.

I too don't get why they need to preserve "criminals" as well for the escape plan. Maybe something about their genes are special that preserving them is better than keeping them in regular jail on earth. Like maybe only their genes can make super soldiers or some other random thing. I mean that one guy's genes made Teppei who can control a Kiltgang mech.

I hope this gets better in later chapters. I happen to really like Daichi and Hana.

The Ark vs. Intercept faction makes a ton of sense now because of episode 5.

Daichi is one lucky guy, he's gotten to see Hana's vagoo twice now.

A nice episode focusing on Teppei and Akari, though. Next episode looks to piss us all off....
