Episode 6

Heh, some interesting concepts here with the Kivotos Plan. Looks like those two twins are up to trouble again while Akari demonstrates her supreme hacking skills.

The second half of the episode felt kinda fast paced imo. But still, at least he was able to save Hana there. I think after a bit of reflecting, they need some more time to catch up.

Too much like Renton and Eureka. I'm not complaining though

Anyways. Episode was good. I just missed the giant mecha fights in space part of captain earth.

Episode 6

I said once, it but I'll say it again!

I love that the relationships are straight forward and that there's no love triangles and all that crap. I like it more when animes have multiple couples and not have a harem-esque situation. Don't get me wrong, I like harems/love triangles but they're used all the time. I wish there more animes with more straight forward relationships to balance everything out. So I applaud Captain Earth for going down this route.

And they revealed a lot of info this episode as well. Seems like the moon people are space vampires (Valvrave anyone?) that just go to planet to planet, absorb the lives of the dominate lifeforms, and then move on? I didn't quite catch what their main purpose was.

Also glasses guy finally got a proper beating (with a boomerang, which makes it even better). Screw that guy!

This is shaping to be a very strong show. I like that they take the time to focus on the characters, instead of trying to force in a mecha battle every episode.

This anime is good funny at times , serious and of course a sinister plot! Starting to get whats going on and it's bad! On A lighter note when Akari got caught hacking the Globe computers and asked how she said she used magic just so funny!

Does anyone know how many episodes captain earth will be? I would imagine 12-13 episodes since Bones will be back to work with Space Dandy season 2 in the summer. But I coild be wrong

Oh, good, I thought this was gonna be a 12/13-episode anime. That would probably be bad action-wise.

6 episodes in, and we haven't seen a lot of good mecha action, which is... sort of wierd, but they devote time developing the characters and slowing easing the audience into understanding the different factions and groups, as well as the concepts of the story. Not necessarily a bad thing.

I think I get the idea that they're trying to show Daichi growing from "indecisive teenager with no direction" to "committed defender of Earth from evil space vampires", but we haven't seen a lot of him recently that show such. Having said that, I'm also glad we didn't get an "unwilling teenage kid gets power and angsts about it" situation (primary offender: OUMA SHU).

That said, I definitely dig the series and its pace, as well as its tone: it's one of the few series I've seen in many seasons that is just honest with its premise and has pretty likeable characters. It also helps that the animation style is pretty bright and clean; it reminds me a lot of AnoHana.

I liked this episode. Gave us some new info and really helped build on some of these characters.

Too many factions and terms and whatever and little to no explanations about what's what... yet I still watch it every week
