So, generally, what are people thinking so far?

I don't have a Funi subscription, so I'm trying to decide if I should wait a week or go through...other channels...

I'm in the same boat. I don't have the FUNi EVS and I'm debating waiting to watch this later or not.

/sigh seriously forcing me to use illegal streaming sites >_> I don't like it, but I will do what I have to. Again, all these licensing for specific areas thing seems completely unnecessary. I set french as my language and I am in Canada and still can't see it idk.

I'd wait a week. So far, you're not missing much.
Maybe it'll pick up at one point where you'll want to keep up asap, but I doubt this episode (or the next one) is worth that so far.
May even be the type of show like Saki where it'll be better to marathon several episodes at a time until things start getting intense.

I know Hpulley stated he could see it with his language set to French, but I don't know what part of Canada he lives in. What province do you live in?

It would be curious if they were geo-filtering it to Quebec only, rather than just by language in Canada.

Just watched the first episode on Funi's site.

There is definitely a darker tone hiding behind the cute of this series. I'm curious to see how it comes out as the series goes on. Tama is clearly a Berserker type.

I think there is potential here, so I'm going to stick it out for a few more episodes.

I like it better than Majin Bone for damn sure.

This remind anyone else of [C]: The Money and Soul of Possibility Control?

Those were the vibes I was feeling, and that's not quite a good thing.

Really? I liked [C] as a concept piece; just thought it ended up being too rushed to make a strong impact.

I am also in Ontario, southwest so not close to Quebec at all.

I can see the show page in French but the episode isn't up yet. So I watched it on Funi.

Honestly, so far it is OK but those who can't watch it are not missing the best anime of the season unless the rest of the episodes are at least 10x better than the first one. It is a silly premise, mindless card game stuff.

So was Chihayafuru. And it turned out freaking awesome. And I was not expecting a show about people riding their bikes, but Yowamushi Pedal completely drew me in.

I find it hard nowadays to say anime has a silly premise tbh. Pokemon = legal pet fighting. Anything with mechas (why do they let teenagers pilot 50foot to galaxy sized robots!). Magic. You know, anime.

Karuta is not just a card game where you say the name of your avatar, level up, attack and start winning. And those characters have complex relationships. I will admit that Chihayafuru didn't get awesome right away, it needed 4-5 episodes.

Mechs aren't so good lately so that isn't a great example in my opinion.

Pokemon. Hmm. Fun but great? No.

This could still become good. There is a bit of potential but not a lot.

This show could get good. Looking back at the episode I'm a little put off by the fact that the game of WIXOSS they played wasn't much of an introduction to the rules. It looks like the rules are going to be unimportant and might lead to some moments that don't feel right, but there's not anything particularly wrong with the show - it looks perfectly alright to me. I'm expecting nightmare fuel as the show goes on if that dream was any indication.

I agree. And though many people will disagree with me, I felt the same about Fantasista Doll.
To be honest, that's what I was sort of hoping Wixoss would be, a dark Fantasista Doll with the pacing of Steins;Gate, Blast of Tempest, or Black Rock Shooter.

First ? some are saying it was A full PV episode so I am a little confused!

Second it was a nice intro the characters not everything but a good pace!

Third about the rules and game I liked they didnt tell all the game it will be revealed

Extra thoughts I like Ruko ( she looks like Hime from Yozurka Quartet with that scarf) Ruko's grandma is cool! Tama(card) is a piece of
work) There looks like a dark side to the live cards also Enough said!

Final thought a card game anime that might be a good one for a change!
