Durarara. Instead of focusing on Celty, they focused on 3 characters with 2 of them nobody give a flying fuck about.
God I hate that Sasukeesque Yellow haired Dougebag

Sry i misread this as 2nd cour instead of 2nd sesason,it still kinda counts right

wait who is suguha and sougo again???? those two names confuse many ppl

Kirigaya Suguha is Kirito's cousin who he lives with. Sugou Nobuyuki is the antagonist of the second cour/ALO arc.

And there's really no reason to triple-post when there's an edit button.

Sword Art Online is based off light novels. I actually read the translated novels and the anime followed it faithfully, from what I could tell. They didn't rush the 'first half' like many people say, it actually happened like that. Also, the 'second half' was not some random arc, it follows the novel.

But I agree, it was not the best, and trust me i've read like 6 of the sword art online novels and not all are great, some better than others.

Yeah, I believe the main problem falls on A-1 Pictures. They kept the Anime way too faithful, and the episodes feel like each is it's own novel. This killed the pacing, since the original Content was moving at the proper pace, but side materials moved at faster or slower paces depending on how the Author wanted the story to go. So you have 2-Years of Story in episode 4, involving the introduction and Death of seemingly important but far too minor characters, and Three-Episode arc's about some kinda assassination arc that had nothing to do with out Heroes. They should've taken some more artistic license and fitted the pieces together, since the 2nd Season is made from an entirely different material than the first, and doesn't match the carpet.

They were Cousins, his parents were murdered by Aliens at a young age...or maybe they died from Radiation Poisoning?

But in the end, they wern't siblings... or anything close. I have siblings, and I shall say with a mountain of experience, that siblings are strange things, and you don't get crushes on them...usually. Look, it's complicated, and while they made Kirito's Sister complicated, they did it wrong.

I mean, Asuna was so bland, they gave her Game-Name and made it her Real-Name. That's some straight up lack of fuck-giving right there. Giving so much to the Leafa/Sugou character, from a best friend, some goals, and some enemies REALLY fleshed her out, and made the "We gotta save Asuna-the-Waifu!" plot really really really bad, ergo the 2nd Season of SAO got off track.

Personally I found little busters was great, but the second series just went off, on some weird tangent.

Same here. There were parts I was like "uh...what's going on?" and I'm not sure whether it was just me or not but they seemed to really drag out the season, I was close to dropping it from boredom.

I was thinking the same. It is a second arc (so season 1.5) and I felt the story was solid, but the presentation and side plots did detract a bit. Honestly, the whole meeting up in game and not knowing was your sibling, I do not think that was as bad. But the OOG obsession did seem a bit too much.

In my opinion, it was the style change, not the story parts that got to me.

First, the fan service was going way overboard compared to 1.0 and seemed more important than the story. And GGO is seeming to take that even further judging by the teaser.

Second was the removal of it being a first person narrative, to a third person. I do not think many noticed, but I felt that 1.0 following Kirito's specific point of view made it more engrossing.

Lastly, the villain. (spoilered just in case somebody hasn't seen and am talking the ending)

i dont think their was incest or is asuna and kazuto related??????

Kazuto/Kirito was cousins with Kirigaya Suguha and she also became his adopted sister and in the second arc, she began to develop a crush on Kirito as they played Alfheim Online together.

I'll name one Infinite Stratos. Season 2 doesn't really have a plot anymore qq

I'll agree with this, Season 1 had a good balance between the plot and the fan service. In Season 1 every episode had at least some story element to it. Season 2 had about 4 episodes of story with an overload of Fan Service. It wasn't overly terrible because the plot (when it was gotten to) was interesting, It just needed to string the plot along over the whole series and not just the 4-5 episodes it actually took to tell it.

Eureka 7. Not so much a second season but a sequel where there were so many continuity problems they shouldn't even be associated with each other. Eureka 7 AO was boring, had terrible character development, and a poorly written story which nearly ruined the first show which was great.

If there's a manga or light novel the anime is based off of, READ IT. (Yeah light novels are rarely translated. I read Japs so...)
They usually give more info + anime producers often change things to appeal to the masses.

Weiss Kreuz Gluhen

I don't even know where to begin with this one. Whereas the first Weiss Kreuz anime was enjoyable, the second season was just stupid beyond belief. I definitely consider it as the worst anime I've ever seen.

Naruto.

I've just continued it...sorta. And while it's not a pure 2nd Season style, after the first 130ish Episodes, they break off into 150+ Filler episodes. Like, for serious, 150+ Filler episodes. They should've made those fillers EARLIER! But they didn't know they'd get so big with that infamous Sasuke Retrieval arc, did they? Like, who expect you'll go 3 Years after your peak making bullshit content?

Of course, that's just the beginning.

I've recently continued with Naruto, and I've nearly caught up again. After the famously good "Pain" Arc..

Let me go on a tangent for a second. Naruto is a mixed bag. Depending on the current plot, it's quality jumps around. When Naruto is training, or the show is focusing on Naruto overcoming some great threat, the show is at a high point! The stakes are high, and the care is evident. The famous "Pain" arc involved Naruto training to become strong enough to surpass his mentor, and it was a good arc! Motherfucker learned Frog-Karate, how is that not awesome? The training is good, and the plot is super serious, the audience is engrossed in the story.

Then....like it was all some dream, the Mega-Ultra Ninja-War arc happens right after, and everything goes off the rails.
I mean, they built a Ninja-Army to take on a terrorist cell compromised of 12 Members, 10 of which WERE ALREADY DEAD.
But they didn't know that! They thought this Terrorist Cell had at LEAST 5 Members! Oh the horror! Lets build a massive army of 80,000 Ninja's, all of which belong to different countries who hate each other, that should go well!

But wait their's more! The writer, noticing he wrote himself into a pickle, building an army to take on 2 dudes, had to haphazardly create them an army!
So, in the same chapter, he introduced a Zombie Ninja Army! Created for the sole purpose of covering his ass with the previous lines of bull.

THAT is a show that went off track in it's second half. That right there. I used as vague wording as I could to not be too spoilery....but guys, Zombie Ninja Army.... think about it.

Hahahaha well said and it just gets worse in the manga people say the author just doesn't care anymore
