Oh dear god that was an adorable first episode.

I can tell the feels will be strong with this series. So far my favorite non-continuation series of the season(Mushi-Shi is still my favorite of the season, though).

I can already tell, even though I'm mainly a epic action/dialogue/plot type of guy, that this will be my favorite anime of the season, unless mekaku city actors, break blade, or black bullet absolutely whoo me away with mind blowing awesomeness when they are released.

This will be the feels anime of the season that's for sure. I highly enjoyed this one and might be my favorite one so far judging by the first episode. Hopefully it doesn't repeat itself and each episode (which could really be one week) the characters develop and grow. This is a very small anime with only (so far) 4 characters so hopefully it can mix things up. If it can then we got a real winner on our hands. Another thing I really liked is the animation, Brains Base really went all out if this judging by the other two animes Brain Base has this season. Also the cinematography is really top notch, great shots they used for such a simple story. Anyway cross our fingers that this will continue be awesome and a tearjerker.

Just watched the first episode and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The girl is quite cute and her lunch chats with the boy were nice too.

I too am getting a 50 First Dates vibe but I'm really looking to see how the story goes.

Excuse me, you're not watching Fairy Tail reboot and you like epic action.

Though to each his own I guess...

The first episode was amazing. I can't wait for more. :D

I think I still preferred episode 1 of the World is Still Beautiful to this. But this one was great.

This will be one of those series where you need a comedy and/or action series afterwards just to come down from the sugar-buzz this show gives. xD

I am not watching the Fairy Tail REBOOT, but I am watching the Fairy Tail CONTINUATION. I also said that I'm into dialogue and plot, which kind of ruins Fairy Tail for me seeing as how I believe that Fairy Tail lacks in those two compartments. That is the only reason for Isshuukan Friends being my number one so far, however Captain Earth, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, and the other three I mentioned in my last post may take the cake for my No.1

I can already tell the competition for best anime this spring will be between this and The World is Still Beautiful. It might even be as close as Golden Time and Nagi no Asukara was the last two seasons. There is still some time for another show to premiere that equals or even surpasses these two and if that happened, this would become my favorite season since joining Crunchyroll last year.

It was a really good first episode. Definitely get the 50 First Dates vibe. Looks like this show could be bittersweet and adorable.

Sorry, I meant to say continuation. I said REBOOT because another studio is doing it so it's technically another project.

I also say FT is good because the plot for this new arc happens to be rather amazing. And since it looks like they're doing it pretty well I have good faith in it being good.

I think The World is still Beautiful is better than this one even though I liked this. It may be a competition between these two for best anime this season, but I still have to see Mekaku City Actors. That's been as hyped as Kill la Kill has been, so I expect that given what I've heard about the setting to be the other big contender in terms of best series this season. I still need to watch Captain Earth though. Mahouka was better than I expected, but still not as good as these two. It all depends on your taste though.

I also think Black Bullet might be better considering the production staff for it, but we have to wait and see. I will enjoy this show though, so I'm happy.

Just watched it, really good.

Um...his face when she told him about the Memory loss. It was a classic "your shitting me...right?"

And the obvious question the show doesn't want us to ask, and which we shouldn't ask anyways.... whats with this highly specific amnesia? I mean, every monday you forget everything awesome....unless it involves your family. You're allowed to remember math however, your welcome.

Well I dont have much info on the subject.

But I would imagine it is totally possible to forgot emotion-based memories and remember logic-based ones such as math.

Which is how people in real life who get amnesia often remember how to speak, meanings of the words, (though would that be logic-base? Um) and how to probably do math.

I mean, yes, her amnesia is highly specific either way and probably can't be that real. But, just the math comment stuck out to me lol sorry.

yeah, their are plenty of reasons she would remember or simply not have Math become affected.

But come on, family remembrance? That's totally cheating!

There is a type of memory loss called Transient Epileptic Amnesia. Symptoms are manifested in the patient having little short term memory. During an attack people with TEA can forget things that happened over the period of a few days or weeks. Most memory loss events happen upon waking up without warning or symptoms and can be so deep that the patient can forget people as close to them as family members. Memory loss and brain function is not an easy science so it is possible for someone to have an attack once a week and only forget a selected area of memory. Just remember epileptic events can be quite mild and come across as just mild nausea before memory loss.

About the anime: I love it, the animation is great and the characters are very easy to like. Kaori herself is an adorable character. Easily one of my favorites of the year and I'm looking forward to a moving story. I get the 50 first dates reference but I don't think it's fair or needed to compare the two. They are similar only in that a guy keeps trying to befriend or romance a girl who forgets him after a set period of time, that's it. I also read someone comparing Kaori to Banri from Golden Time and yes they both have memory loss but the characters and type of memory loss are completely different.
